Best Srinagar Tour Packages Curated By Experts

Srinagar Tour Packages

Srinagar is where almost every Kashmir holiday begins. Its airport and its new railway station are the Valley's main gateway, and the city sits within easy drives of Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg.

Our Srinagar tour packages come in three shapes. A short Srinagar break around the lakes and gardens. A longer stay in one Srinagar hotel with day trips out to the mountains. Or a wider Kashmir circuit that adds nights in Pahalgam, and sometimes Gulmarg.

Trips run from four to seven days, and winter packages currently start at about ₹7,999 per person, based on a larger group sharing rooms, before flights and tickets. More days buy more sightseeing time and, usually, a few more hotel changes.

Tell us your dates, travellers and preferred hotel category, and we will help you pick a trip that feels comfortable rather than rushed. You can plan your Srinagar trip on WhatsApp or call +91 7018537498.

Srinagar Tour Packages at a Glance

Trips run four to seven days, and winter prices currently start near ₹7,999 per person for a larger group sharing rooms. Most travellers fly into Srinagar airport, though the city now has its own railway station as well. The main places are Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg, and the popular experiences are Dal Lake and a shikara ride, the Mughal gardens, the Gulmarg gondola and the Pahalgam valleys. These trips suit couples, families, honeymooners, groups, senior citizens and snow seekers.

Package prices depend on your dates, group size, number of rooms, hotel category and vehicle. Check each package page for its exact price basis, inclusions and exclusions.

Wider Kashmir circuits from Srinagar

Kashmir at Its Best with Gulmarg Stay, seven days and six nights, from about ₹24,999 per person. Three nights in Srinagar, two in Pahalgam and one actually in Gulmarg, in premium stays and a private SUV. For travellers who want a fuller circuit and a real mountain night rather than only day trips.

Family and group trips

Relaxed Kashmir Family Tour Package, six days and five nights, from about ₹13,999 per person. Three Srinagar nights and two in Pahalgam, with a Gulmarg day trip and no long Sonamarg day, so the pace stays gentle. Classic Kashmir Family Holiday Package offers the same length at a higher comfort level, from about ₹17,499 per person.

Best Selling Kashmir Group Tour Package, five days and four nights, from about ₹9,999 per person. A shared join in trip through Srinagar, Pahalgam and Gulmarg, with both Aru and Betaab valley taxis included and a shared shikara ride. Triple sharing is the base, with double rooms on a supplement, which makes it the most economical option and a good fit for solo travellers. Most Loved Kashmir Winter Group Trip runs six days and adds a Sonamarg day, from about ₹11,999 per person.

Private trips use a vehicle booked only for your group. Group departures share transport, run on set dates and are confirmed before you pay.

Choose Your Srinagar Route and Trip Length

The right trip depends on how far beyond the city you want to travel and how much repacking you are happy to do. One useful rule first: arrival day and departure day are rarely full sightseeing days. So a four day trip gives you about two clear days, five days about three, six days about four and seven days about five.

Srinagar short breaks

These keep all your nights in one Srinagar hotel. You unpack once, see the lakes and gardens, and add a day trip or two to Gulmarg or Sonamarg. Our four day trips sit here, and they suit couples, short leave travellers and anyone wanting a first taste without a packed schedule. What they leave out is Pahalgam, which is too far for a comfortable day trip, and the slower rhythm of a longer holiday. We do not currently run a three day package; three nights suit Srinagar itself, but not the mountain towns too.

Srinagar with day trips, keeping one hotel

Here you stay in Srinagar for the whole trip and drive out each morning, returning each evening. Keeping the same hotel saves you from repacking and checking in and out, which many families and older travellers prefer. The trade is the return drive after each excursion, with Gulmarg about two hours each way and Sonamarg roughly two to two and a half. This works well for four to six day trips. Of the three mountain areas, Gulmarg and Sonamarg make comfortable day trips, while Pahalgam, around two and a half to three hours each way with its own valley taxi day, sits better as an overnight.

Srinagar with overnight stays elsewhere in Kashmir

Adding a night in Pahalgam, and on our seven day trip a night in Gulmarg too, cuts the daily back and forth and gives you more time in each place. The cost is changing hotels and repacking, and on the seven day circuit one long cross valley drive from Pahalgam to Gulmarg, commonly five to seven hours. This shape suits five to seven day trips. An overnight in Gulmarg mainly rewards snow lovers, who get early mountain mornings and first access to the gondola without the drive up.

A quick word on who each trip suits. Couples and honeymooners usually enjoy a private five day plan, often with a Pahalgam night, and can add a houseboat stay. Families with young children do well on a slower six day trip with two Pahalgam nights, or a single Srinagar base. Older parents are more comfortable with fewer hotel changes and shorter driving days, so a Srinagar base is kinder, and it helps to confirm stairs and lifts first. Solo travellers get the best value on a group departure, where a single seat is fine and triple sharing keeps the price down.

An eight day package is not on our list today. For something longer, perhaps adding Doodhpathri or Yusmarg, or pairing Kashmir with a Vaishno Devi visit, we can build and quote a custom plan. For a side by side view of the mountain areas, see our guide on Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg.

Srinagar Package Prices, Inclusions and Extra Costs

Six things move the price: the number of days, the season, how many of you there are, how many rooms you need, the hotel category and the vehicle class. Winter rooms and peak dates cost more, and the New Year period is the dearest. Group size is the largest single factor, because our listed "from" prices assume a larger group sharing rooms, and the fewer travellers there are, the higher the per person price.

A worked example

Take The Perfect 4 Day Kashmir Getaway, a four day premium trip. It is listed from about ₹9,999 per person for a group of seven or more sharing rooms. For two people travelling privately, the same trip works out to about ₹13,499 per person, so roughly ₹26,998 for the couple. On this package children are quoted at the adult rate and infants are free. These are land only rates, for the winter season, and do not include flights, the gondola or entry tickets. Your own dates, numbers and hotel choice are confirmed in a written quote. For a fuller breakdown, see our Kashmir trip cost guide.

What the package price covers

Your nights in the chosen hotel category, with a private room and an attached bathroom. Breakfast and dinner every day, which means a morning meal and an evening meal at your hotel, with lunch left open so you can eat where the day takes you. A private vehicle for your airport or station pickup, your drop and all the planned sightseeing, sized to your group and luggage. One private shikara ride of about an hour on Dal Lake. On trips that visit Pahalgam, one authorised local taxi circuit through accessible parts of the valleys. Room heating and hot water as per the hotel's schedule. Driver costs, fuel, standard tolls and parking. And applicable taxes.

Usually paid separately

The Gulmarg gondola, in two stages, Phase one up to Kongdoori and Phase two on to Apharwat, is booked through the official operator and is not part of the price. Vehicle air conditioning, if you want it, is charged by vehicle type, usually around ₹300 to ₹800 per day. During snowfall, the final climb to Gulmarg can need a chained or 4x4 vehicle, which is weather dependent and priced in advance. Garden, park and monument entry tickets are extra, as are snow activities such as skiing, sledging, snowmobiles and ponies, any Pahalgam circuit beyond the one included, and a houseboat night if you add one.

Not included at all

Flights and train tickets to and from Srinagar, lunches, personal spending, tips and travel insurance.

Shikara, houseboat and the valleys

The included shikara ride runs about an hour on private trips and is shared on group trips, and a longer or sunrise ride can be added. A houseboat is not part of the standard packages, but a heated houseboat can replace one Srinagar hotel night on request, once we confirm its winter heating, bathrooms and access. On trips that include Pahalgam, the valley taxi for Aru and Betaab is included, subject to the day's access. Chandanwari, Baisaran and Tulian Lake are a separate matter, covered in the booking section below.

Budget, premium and luxury, in real terms

The simplest way to read the tiers is by the hotel and the vehicle, not the label. A budget or standard trip, such as Snow and Mist, uses a good 3 star or an entry level 4 star hotel and a private sedan, Swift Dzire or Ertiga sized to your group. A premium trip, such as The Perfect 4 Day or the seven day Gulmarg stay, uses a better 3 star or entry 4 star hotel and a roomier SUV such as an Ertiga or Innova. A luxury trip, such as Kashmir Bliss, uses luxury stays and a luxury SUV. The route, the sightseeing, the meals and the core inclusions stay the same across these tiers. A higher tier buys a better hotel and a more comfortable vehicle, not extra places or extra included experiences.

Popular Srinagar Itineraries

These are the day shapes behind the packages. Full day by day plans sit on each package page, so this is the order and the overnight pattern at a glance. Remember that the place you visit on a day is not always the place you sleep.

Four day Srinagar base, for example Snow and Mist or The Perfect 4 Day, with all three nights in Srinagar.

  1. Arrive in Srinagar, settle in, shikara ride on Dal Lake if your arrival time allows.
  2. Day trip to Gulmarg, back to Srinagar for the night.
  3. Day trip to Sonamarg through the Sind Valley, back to Srinagar.
  4. Depart from Srinagar. No sightseeing is promised on departure day.

Five day Srinagar and Pahalgam, for example Best of Kashmir, with Srinagar three nights and Pahalgam one night.

  1. Arrive in Srinagar, shikara ride.
  2. Drive to Pahalgam, a relaxed evening by the Lidder River, overnight in Pahalgam.
  3. Pahalgam valley circuit by local taxi, then back to Srinagar.
  4. Day trip to Gulmarg, back to Srinagar.
  5. Depart from Srinagar.

Six day complete tour, for example The Complete Kashmir Tour Package, with Srinagar four nights and Pahalgam one night.

  1. Arrive in Srinagar, shikara ride.
  2. Day trip to Sonamarg, back to Srinagar.
  3. Drive to Pahalgam, overnight there.
  4. Pahalgam valleys, then back to Srinagar.
  5. Day trip to Gulmarg, back to Srinagar.
  6. Depart from Srinagar.

Seven day circuit with a Gulmarg night, Kashmir at Its Best with Gulmarg Stay, with Srinagar three nights, Pahalgam two and Gulmarg one.

  1. Arrive in Srinagar, shikara ride.
  2. Day trip to Sonamarg, back to Srinagar.
  3. Drive to Pahalgam, overnight.
  4. A full day in the Pahalgam valleys, second night in Pahalgam.
  5. Long cross valley drive to Gulmarg, overnight in Gulmarg.
  6. Gulmarg in the morning, then drive back to Srinagar for the final night.
  7. Depart from Srinagar.

In deep winter the higher points, such as Thajiwas and Zero Point near Sonamarg and the deeper reaches of the Pahalgam valleys, are often closed, so your driver reorders the day or finds a practical alternative. A summer trip opens more of these higher areas. Any custom sequence we discuss is a sample until it is confirmed in your quotation.

Hotels and Houseboat Options in Srinagar

Most Srinagar trips use hotels, with a houseboat as an optional extra. A hotel gives you heating, a lift in many cases and easy vehicle access. A houseboat gives you a night on the water, reached by a short shikara hop, which is lovely in milder months and needs more checking in deep winter.

Dal Lake is the central, livelier lake, with the Boulevard, the most shikaras and the widest choice of stays, so it is the more convenient base for sightseeing. Nigeen Lake is quieter and more private, better for a calm houseboat night away from the crowds. Away from the lakes, areas across the city can be quieter and better value while still being an easy drive from the sights.

We propose properties by category rather than by a fixed name, because availability shifts. Our packages store a hotel category, such as a good 3 star or an entry level 4 star, and we share the actual hotel names, room types and meal plan before you pay. Heating type, heating hours, hot water timing, power backup and room access vary from one property to the next, so we confirm these for your specific hotel before you book. On confirmation you receive a booking voucher that names your hotel, room type, vehicle and inclusions. If a confirmed property later becomes unavailable close to travel, we arrange a comparable or better alternative and tell you.

For a houseboat, it helps to be clear whether you are booking a room on a shared boat or the whole boat for your group, and to confirm the lake or ghat it sits on, how you reach it, how luggage is carried across and what happens with a late arrival. If you are travelling with young children or older parents, tell us, so we can match the stay to stairs, warmth and access rather than make a blanket promise. For more on the choice, see where to stay in Kashmir and our houseboat guide.

Best Time to Visit Srinagar

Each season gives a different Kashmir, and it changes which itinerary makes sense. A road tunnel has improved winter access to Sonamarg town in recent years, though the higher points there stay weather and season dependent. For a month by month view, see our best time to visit Kashmir guide.

Spring, roughly March to May

Gardens and orchards come into bloom, the Tulip Garden opens for its short window, and the higher roads begin to open as the snow clears. A gentle, green season, good for the gardens and mild days, with cool mornings that call for layers.

Summer, roughly June to August

The warmest and greenest months, when Pahalgam and Sonamarg are at their best and more of the higher points are open. It is the busiest family season. During the Amarnath Yatra, usually in July and August, expect traffic restrictions and convoy movement on the main highways, which can lengthen drive times.

Autumn, roughly September to November

The chinar leaves turn and the Valley is quieter and very photogenic. Early November is late autumn rather than a snow holiday. A fine season for couples and photography.

Winter, December to February

The cold season, with the best chance of snow from January onwards. Gulmarg is the snow hub, while Srinagar city sees some snow but less reliably than the higher resorts. Daylight is short, so days start early and some sightseeing is shortened for safety. Heated rooms and hot water timings matter most now, and we confirm these for each hotel. Snow cannot be promised on any fixed date, and our current packages are built for this season. See our guides on snowfall in Kashmir and things to do in Srinagar in winter. Winter weekends and the New Year period fill early and cost more, so book ahead for peak dates.

Flights, Train Arrivals and Pickup Options

Most travellers fly into Srinagar airport, with direct or one stop flights from the major metros. Your arrival time shapes the first day. An afternoon landing usually means just the shikara and settling in, with sightseeing starting on day two.

Srinagar now also has its own railway station, reached by the new line through the mountains. Vande Bharat Express trains connect Srinagar with Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra and Jammu Tawi, taking roughly three hours from Katra, and running six days a week, not on Wednesdays. There is no single through train from Delhi to Srinagar yet, so travellers from the plains usually take a train to Katra or Jammu Tawi and change there for the Srinagar train, or they fly. Schedules change, so check the current railway listing before building a trip around a specific train. Our how to reach Kashmir guide has the fuller picture, and this reflects the position as of late 2026.

Our packages begin and end in Srinagar, so the price covers your trip within Kashmir, not your journey to it. Pickup is a private transfer from either the airport or the railway station, at the point and time you confirm, so a railway station pickup is the same included transfer as the airport one. On group departures, arrival and departure run within set windows that we share before you book travel. Rather than repeat a separate path for every city, we keep origin city guidance for the main metros, including Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai. In winter especially, keep a buffer on departure day and avoid tight onward connections, as weather can delay flights.

Booking, Payment, Cancellation and Trip Changes

The process is simple. You enquire with your dates and numbers, we send a plan and a written quote, and you tell us what to adjust. Once you are happy, we confirm the hotels and share the names, then take an advance to hold the booking, with the balance due before or at travel. The exact advance, the balance due date and the cancellation and amendment terms are set out in your written quotation and booking confirmation, so please read those before paying.

If the weather closes a route, your driver and our local team reorder the day or arrange a practical alternative within the booked scope. Safety comes first, so blocked roads are not attempted just to complete a plan. A weather change does not by itself mean a refund, and any extra night or vehicle day caused by an exceptional disruption is handled under the booking terms, which may carry an added cost.

Carry valid government photo identification, which hotels require at check in. Srinagar and the main circuit do not need special permits for Indian nationals, though some restricted or offbeat areas can. Postpaid mobile connections tend to work more reliably than prepaid in parts of the Valley, card and UPI acceptance varies outside the main towns, and ATMs are mostly in Srinagar and larger towns, so carry some cash; our SIM and essentials guide has detail. Vegetarian, Jain and other dietary needs can be arranged with notice. For accessibility, share any mobility needs so we can confirm stairs, lifts and room access, keeping in mind that several gardens and hilltop sites involve steps.

As of late 2026, Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam town and Sonamarg are open and operating for tourism. Some specific spots near Pahalgam, including Baisaran meadow, Chandanwari and Tulian Lake, along with certain trekking routes, were on the Anantnag district administration's closure list dated 7 July 2026 and remained closed or under review in October 2026, so we verify current permissions before each departure rather than assume they have reopened. Conditions can change at short notice. Check the current advice from the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism department and the local district administration close to your travel dates, and if you are a foreign national, your own government's travel advice as well. We do not describe Kashmir as entirely without risk, and we plan around official guidance. Our own ground report on Kashmir safety is kept updated.

Why Book Your Srinagar Trip with Travel Coffee

We plan the trip so you can see exactly what you are paying for before you commit. You get your hotel names, your inclusions and a written quote first, and only then decide. Your confirmed trip comes with a booking voucher that names the hotel, rooms, vehicle and inclusions, and you have a named Travel Coffee contact who coordinates the trip and stays reachable while you travel.

Our package pages are written plainly about what is and is not promised. Snow and the gondola are never guaranteed, air conditioning and entry tickets are listed as extra, and winter access depends on the weather and official permissions. That honesty means fewer surprises on the ground than a trip sold on perfect pictures. The photographs on our package pages are our own, and before you pay you can check the itinerary, the stays, the inclusions and the quote, and ask us to change any of it.

Plan Your Srinagar Trip

Not sure whether to choose a four day break, a six day circuit or a slower family trip? Tell us your travel dates, how many adults and children are coming and the children's ages, the number of days you have in mind, a rough budget, and whether you would like a hotel or a houseboat. Let us know your pickup point, Srinagar airport or the railway station, and we will build a plan and a clear quote around it. Keep the first message short, and we will ask for the finer details once we are talking.

You can reach our Kashmir trip planners on WhatsApp or call +91 7018537498. If you are still deciding where to go, our Srinagar sightseeing guide is a good starting point.

  • Pari Mahal Srinagar

Pari Mahal is a seven terraced Mughal era heritage site on the Zabarwan hills above Dal Lake in Srinagar. No entry fee. Courtyard and grounds open to all faiths year round.

  • Indira Gandhi Tulip Garden Srinagar

The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden is a 30 hectare seasonal garden on seven terraces at the foothills of the Zabarwan Range in Srinagar, overlooking Dal Lake. Asia's largest tulip garden, it opens mid March to mid April each year when over 1.5 million tulips in 70 plus varieties bloom alongside hyacinths and daffodils. Opened in 2007. Entry roughly Rs 75 per adult. Peak bloom is usually the first week of April. Adjacent to Chashme Shahi garden.

  • Chashme Shahi Srinagar

Chashme Shahi is a compact Mughal garden on the slopes of the Zabarwan hills above Dal Lake, built in 1632 by Ali Mardan Khan for Emperor Shah Jahan's eldest son, Prince Dara Shikoh. It is the smallest of Srinagar's three main Mughal Gardens, just about an acre, but what it lacks in size it makes up for with a natural freshwater spring that has been flowing for centuries. Three terraces, a few fountains, and a quick walk that takes 20 to 30 minutes. Usually visited as the first or last stop on the Mughal Gardens circuit with Nishat Bagh and Shalimar Bagh.

  • Nishat Bagh Srinagar

Nishat Bagh is a 12 terrace Mughal garden on the eastern shore of Dal Lake, built in 1633 by Asif Khan, brother of Nur Jahan. The largest of the three main Mughal Gardens in Srinagar by visual impact, with the best panoramic view of the lake and the Pir Panjal range from any garden in the valley. Chinar and cypress trees line the central water channel, and in October the canopy turns gold and red in a way that makes the rest of the year feel like a warm up. Entry roughly Rs 20 to 30. Part of the standard Mughal Gardens circuit with Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi.

  • Shalimar Bagh Srinagar

Shalimar Bagh is a 31 acre Mughal garden on the northeast shore of Dal Lake, built in 1619 by Jahangir for Nur Jahan. Three terraces, the famous chini khanas behind the waterfalls, the Black Pavilion with the paradise inscription, and a central water channel called the Shah Nahar. Best in October for chinars or April for flowers. Entry roughly Rs 20 to 24. Part of the standard Mughal Gardens circuit with Nishat Bagh and Chashme Shahi.

  • Mughal Gardens Srinagar

The Mughal Gardens are three 17th century terraced gardens on the eastern shore of Dal Lake in Srinagar: Nishat Bagh (12 terraces, the biggest and most dramatic), Shalimar Bagh (built by Jahangir for Nur Jahan, the most historically significant), and Chashme Shahi (the smallest and quietest, with a natural spring). All three can be covered in a comfortable half day by auto or taxi from Boulevard Road. Entry is Rs 20 to 40 per person. Best in spring for flowers, October for chinar colour.

  • Srinagar

Srinagar is the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, sitting at about 1,585 metres in the Kashmir Valley on the banks of the Jhelum River. Known for Dal Lake, heritage houseboats, Mughal gardens, the old city markets, and as the gateway to Gulmarg, Pahalgam, and Sonamarg. Best visited April to October. September and October are the standout months. Most travellers need two to three days in the city before heading to the surrounding destinations.

  • Dal Lake Srinagar

Dal Lake is an 18 sq km freshwater lake at 1,583 metres in central Srinagar, divided into four basins. Home to heritage houseboats, shikara rides, a pre dawn floating vegetable market, Mughal gardens along its shore, and around 50,000 people who live on the water. Best visited April to October. No entry fee. The defining experience of any Kashmir trip.

Best Things to Do in Srinagar

  • Ride a Shikara on Dal Lake

A shikara ride is the easiest way to see Srinagar from the water, past the houseboats, floating gardens and the morning market. Rides run about an hour, and one is already included in our packages. Agree the duration before you set off if you want a longer ride.

  • Stay a Night on a Houseboat

A houseboat night on Dal or Nigeen is worth doing once. Nigeen is quieter and Dal is livelier and closer to the Boulevard. Check the room category, heating, meal plan and how you reach the boat before confirming, as access is by shikara.

  • Walk the Mughal Gardens

Nishat, Shalimar and Chashme Shahi are the three gardens most Srinagar stays cover, and half a day is enough for all three. Each charges a small entry fee, usually not part of your package, and the Tulip Garden sits close by if you travel in late March or April.

  • Sit Down for Kahwa and Wazwan

Kashmiri food is worth planning a meal around rather than eating between transfers. Kahwa is the saffron tea you will be offered almost everywhere, and wazwan is a multi course meal that is better arranged a day ahead than ordered on the spot.

  • Shop for Pashmina and Walnut Wood

Srinagar's old city and the Boulevard have shops selling pashmina, papier mache work and walnut wood carving. Quality and price vary a great deal, so compare a few shops and ask for a proper bill before you buy.

  • Climb Shankaracharya Hill for the View

The hilltop temple gives the widest view over Srinagar and the lakes. A road covers most of the way, with a flight of steps at the end, and security checks apply, so leave larger bags behind.

Frequently Asked Questions About Srinagar Tour Packages

How much does a Srinagar tour package cost?

Our winter Srinagar and Kashmir trips start at about ₹7,999 per person for four days, based on a larger group sharing rooms, before flights, train tickets and the gondola. Couples and small groups pay more per person. Your exact rate depends on days, season, group size, hotel category and vehicle, and we confirm it in a written quote.

Are three days enough for Srinagar?

Three nights are enough for the city itself, the lakes, a shikara ride and a couple of Mughal gardens at an easy pace. They are not enough to add Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg. Our shortest package is four days and three nights, which allows one or two day trips.

What is included in a Srinagar package?

Hotel nights in your chosen category, a private room with an attached bathroom, breakfast and dinner daily, a private vehicle for pickup, drop and all planned sightseeing, one private Dal Lake shikara ride, room heating and hot water, and taxes. Flights, train tickets, the gondola, entry fees and lunches are extra.

Is this a Srinagar trip or a wider Kashmir tour?

Either works. Short trips stay in Srinagar with day trips to Gulmarg or Sonamarg. Longer trips add nights in Pahalgam, and our seven day trip adds a Gulmarg night too. You decide how far beyond the city to go.

Should I stay in Srinagar or Gulmarg?

For most trips Srinagar is the better base. It is central, has the most choice and keeps driving times short. A Gulmarg night suits snow lovers who want early mountain mornings, which our seven day trip includes. Otherwise Gulmarg works well as a day trip.

Can I visit Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonamarg while staying in Srinagar?

Gulmarg and Sonamarg are comfortable day trips from a Srinagar base, each about two to two and a half hours each way. Pahalgam is a long day trip and works better as an overnight, as its valleys need a local taxi day. A five or six day trip covers all three.

Is a houseboat night included?

No. Our packages use hotels. A heated houseboat can replace one Srinagar hotel night on request, once we confirm its winter heating, bathrooms and access, at an added cost. In milder months this is straightforward, while in deep winter the comfort needs checking first.

Should I choose Dal Lake or Nigeen Lake?

Dal Lake is central and lively, with the Boulevard, the most shikaras and the widest choice of stays, so it is handier for sightseeing. Nigeen Lake is quieter and more private, better for a calm houseboat night. For first timers wanting easy access, Dal Lake usually wins.

Are gondola tickets included and confirmed?

No. Gulmarg gondola Phase one and Phase two tickets are not included. We can help you book in advance through the official operator, but tickets depend on availability, the maintenance schedule and the weather, and cannot be guaranteed. A request to add the gondola is not a confirmed booking until the operator issues tickets.

Are Aru, Betaab and Chandanwari local taxis included?

On trips that visit Pahalgam, one authorised local taxi circuit covering accessible parts of Aru and Betaab Valley is included, and our five day group trip includes both. Chandanwari, Baisaran and Tulian Lake were on the district closure list dated July 2026 and are not promised. We confirm current access before each departure.

Are heating and hot water included in winter?

Yes. Effective room heating and hot water are included during your hotel stay, as per the hotel's arrangement. Heating type, hours, hot water timing and power backup vary by property, so we confirm these for your specific hotel before you book.

Do packages include flights or train tickets?

No. Our packages are land only and begin in Srinagar, so the price covers your stays, vehicle, sightseeing and transfers within Kashmir. You book your own flights or train tickets. We are happy to advise on the best arrival time for your first day.

Can Travel Coffee arrange railway station pickup?

Yes. Srinagar now has its own railway station, and our private packages include a transfer from either the airport or the railway station, at the point and time you confirm. On group departures, pickups run within set windows that we share before you book travel.

When should I visit for snow or tulips?

For the best chance of snow, visit from January to February, though no date can be guaranteed. The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden opens for a few weeks in spring, usually from late March into April, with exact dates announced each year, so confirm them for your travel year.

Can the itinerary suit children, older parents or dietary needs?

Yes. We can slow the pace, keep fewer hotel changes, use a single Srinagar base, and confirm stairs, lifts and room access for older travellers. Vegetarian, Jain and other dietary needs can be arranged with notice. Tell us the ages and any needs when you enquire.

What happens if weather changes the itinerary?

If snow, ice or a closure makes a route unsafe, your driver and our local team reorder the day or arrange a practical alternative within the booked scope. Safety comes first, so blocked roads are not attempted to complete a plan. A weather change does not by itself mean a refund.

How are hotels and the booking confirmed?

We propose hotels by category, then share the names, rooms and inclusions before you pay. On confirmation you receive a booking voucher with your hotel, room type, vehicle and inclusions. The advance, the balance due date and the cancellation terms are set out in your written quotation.

Where should I check current travel advice for Srinagar?

Check the Jammu and Kashmir Tourism department and the local district administration for current advisories close to your travel dates, as access to specific spots can change. Foreign nationals should also check their own government's travel advice. Our own ground report gives an honest, updated view.
