Know Before You Go

  • November is often more late-autumn than peak snow. Snow is possible in higher areas, but a fully snowy landscape should not be expected everywhere.
  • Early December snow is not guaranteed and depends on the weather, altitude and dates. January and February can bring icy roads, snow and occasional delays. In March, Srinagar may feel milder while higher areas still have snow.
  • Gulmarg Gondola tickets are not included in the package price. We can assist with advance booking at an additional cost, subject to ticket availability, booking confirmation, weather conditions and cable car operations. Early booking is recommended, but tickets cannot be guaranteed. Official booking: https://www.jammukashmircablecar.com/
  • Selected Pahalgam valley roads use authorised local taxis, which are separate from your main cab. We explain the agreed circuit and its coverage before booking.
  • During snowfall, the last stretch to Gulmarg may need a chained or 4x4 vehicle. This is weather-dependent and charged separately; if required, we share the price and arrangements in advance.
  • Reaching Sonamarg town does not guarantee access to Thajiwas Glacier, Zero Point or Zoji La. We follow the day's official access and weather.
  • Chandanwari and Baisaran were named in the July 2026 district closure notice. We verify current permissions before each departure and do not assume they have reopened.
  • Hotels differ in heating type, hours, hot-water timing and backup power. We confirm these for your selected hotel and room before booking.
  • Winter days are short, so some days may start early and sightseeing may be shortened or rearranged for safety.
  • Carry thermals, a warm jacket, gloves, a cap, waterproof footwear, personal medicines, valid photo ID and some cash.
  • Snowfall, road closures or flight disruptions can affect winter schedules, so keep a buffer if you have fixed onward plans.
  • Houseboats are optional. A heated Srinagar houseboat can be requested as a separately priced replacement for a hotel night, subject to verified winter comfort and availability.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this the Premium version of the Kashmir tour?

It follows the same six-day route as our Standard Complete Kashmir tour. The main upgrades are selected high-end 3-star or entry-level 4-star hotels and an appropriately upgraded private vehicle. The destinations and core experiences stay the same.

Is this a private Kashmir tour?

Yes. Your main vehicle is reserved for your booking, so you travel with your own family, partner or friends, not a shared group.

Which destinations are covered in six days?

Srinagar, Sonamarg, Pahalgam and Gulmarg. You stay four nights in Srinagar and one night in Pahalgam.

What kind of hotels are included?

Selected high-end 3-star or entry-level 4-star hotels. The actual property names, room categories, heating and meal plan are shared in your quotation before booking.

Will we get an Innova Crysta?

The Premium vehicle includes suitable Ertiga or Innova-class options for your group and luggage. An Innova Crysta is guaranteed only when that exact model is in your booking confirmation.

Are Gondola tickets included?

No. Gulmarg Gondola tickets are not included in the package price. We can assist with advance booking at an additional cost, subject to ticket availability, booking confirmation, weather conditions and cable car operations. Early booking is recommended, but tickets cannot be guaranteed.

Is the Shikara ride included?

Yes, one private Shikara ride of about 60 minutes, subject to lake conditions. If your arrival timing does not allow it, we try to arrange it on another Srinagar day.

Is Pahalgam local sightseeing included?

Yes, one agreed authorised Pahalgam local taxi circuit (Aru and/or Betaab Valley) is included, subject to access. It is a separate local vehicle from your main cab, and additional circuits are charged separately.

Can we expect snowfall?

Snowfall is not guaranteed on any date. Conditions change through November to March, generally depending on altitude and the weather.

Is Sonamarg accessible in winter?

Access has improved, but it still depends on daily road and weather conditions. Higher excursions beyond the town are separate and cannot be guaranteed.

Is room heating included?

Yes. Effective room heating is included during your hotel stay, as per the confirmed hotel arrangement. We confirm the heating hours and hot water timing before you travel.

Do we need an extra vehicle in Gulmarg?

Sometimes. On snow or ice, a suitable chained or 4x4 local vehicle may be needed for the Gulmarg approach. This is weather-dependent and charged separately; if required, we share the price and arrangements in advance.

Is a houseboat night included?

No. All five nights are in hotels. A Srinagar houseboat can be arranged as an optional paid replacement for a hotel night, subject to winter conditions.

Is this suitable for families with children or senior citizens?

Yes, depending on comfort with longer sightseeing days and walking. Families with elderly members should check hotel lift access and room location. We can also suggest a version with two Pahalgam nights instead of the Sonamarg day.

What happens if weather affects the itinerary?

Our local team assesses road and weather conditions and suggests a practical alternative where possible. Safety comes first, so inaccessible spots are not attempted just to complete the plan. Any additional costs follow the terms shared before booking.
