Know Before You Go

  • November often feels more like late autumn around Srinagar and Pahalgam. Snow is possible in higher areas, but a snowy landscape is not guaranteed.
  • Early December snow is not guaranteed and depends on the weather and elevation. January and February can bring snow, icy roads and occasional delays, with some areas inaccessible in difficult conditions. In March, Srinagar and Pahalgam may feel milder while higher Gulmarg keeps snow.
  • This is a complete four-destination itinerary with several full travel days. It offers more destination time than shorter trips, but it is not a fully slow-paced holiday.
  • You spend two nights in Pahalgam, with one full day for selected accessible valley sightseeing, and one actual overnight in Gulmarg. The Gulmarg hotel, access and room category are confirmed before booking.
  • Gulmarg Gondola Phase 1 and Phase 2 tickets are not included in the package price. We can assist with advance booking at an additional cost, subject to ticket availability, booking confirmation, weather conditions and cable car operations. Early booking is recommended, but tickets cannot be guaranteed.
  • The Sonamarg excursion depends on road conditions, weather and local permissions. Reaching Sonamarg town does not guarantee access to Thajiwas Glacier, Zero Point or Zoji La.
  • Selected Pahalgam valley roads use authorised local taxis, which are separate from your main cab. We explain the agreed circuit and any additional charges before booking.
  • Aru and Betaab Valley sightseeing depends on weather, roads and permissions. Chandanwari, Baisaran and Tulian Lake were named in the July 2026 district closure notice and cannot be promised without current official confirmation.
  • Snow or ice can make a chained or snow-equipped local vehicle necessary between Tangmarg and Gulmarg, in either direction. This is weather-dependent and charged separately, and we share the price and arrangement upfront before booking.
  • Day 5 is a substantial cross-valley transfer from Pahalgam to Gulmarg, kept mainly as a travel day, with no guaranteed Gondola ride.
  • Hotels differ in heating type, hours, hot-water timing and backup power. We confirm these for your selected hotels before booking.
  • A Premium vehicle does not automatically have access to every snow-covered road, and winter days are short, so some days may start early and sightseeing may be shortened for safety.
  • If you are travelling with children, parents or elderly members, share any mobility, lift, dietary or room-access needs before booking, keeping in mind the long transfer days.
  • Carry thermals, a warm jacket, gloves, a cap, waterproof footwear, sunglasses, personal medicines, valid photo ID and some cash. Keep some flexibility for winter flight or road disruption; the final Srinagar night reduces departure-day exposure but cannot remove all risk.
  • Houseboats are optional. A heated Srinagar houseboat can replace one hotel night on request, at an additional cost and subject to availability and verified winter comfort.

Frequently Asked Questions

What makes this seven-day Kashmir package different?

It covers Srinagar, Sonamarg, Pahalgam and Gulmarg, with two nights in Pahalgam and an actual overnight in Gulmarg. You get more time in the destinations than a shorter Kashmir sightseeing package.

Is this a private Kashmir tour?

Yes. The main vehicle is arranged privately for your booking. Any required local union taxis or winter vehicles are coordinated separately per the confirmed itinerary.

Which destinations are included?

Srinagar, Sonamarg, Pahalgam and Gulmarg, over seven days and six nights.

How are the six nights divided?

Three nights in Srinagar, two consecutive nights in Pahalgam and one night in Gulmarg.

Why do we stay two nights in Pahalgam?

Two nights give you a full day for local valley sightseeing without checking out the next morning, plus time to enjoy the town, riverside and hotel.

Is the Gulmarg stay actually in Gulmarg?

Yes, one night at a hotel physically in Gulmarg. Tangmarg is not an automatic substitute, and the actual hotel is confirmed before booking.

Is the Pahalgam to Gulmarg drive long?

Yes, it is a substantial cross-valley transfer. The journey depends on traffic, weather and winter road access, so Day 5 is mainly dedicated to travel and hotel check-in.

Are Gondola tickets included?

No. Gulmarg Gondola Phase 1 and Phase 2 tickets are not included in the package price. We can assist with advance booking at an additional cost, subject to ticket availability, booking confirmation, weather conditions and cable car operations. Early booking is recommended, but tickets cannot be guaranteed.

Can we take the Gondola on Day 6?

That is the intended opportunity if a ticket slot is confirmed and the cable car is operating. The visit must also leave enough time for checkout and the return to Srinagar, and a ride is not guaranteed.

Is snowfall guaranteed?

No. Snowfall varies by month, altitude and weather, and the four destinations can have different conditions even in winter.

Is Sonamarg accessible in winter?

Sonamarg access has improved, but the road and local areas remain subject to weather and official permissions. Higher excursions like Thajiwas, Zero Point or Zoji La are not guaranteed.

Is Pahalgam local sightseeing included?

Yes, one agreed authorised local taxi circuit, subject to access. The exact route, vehicle and covered charges are confirmed in your quotation, and additional circuits cost extra.

Can we visit Aru Valley and Betaab Valley?

These are planned sightseeing options, subject to road conditions and permissions. One or both may be visited depending on access and the agreed circuit.

What kind of hotels are included?

Selected high-end 3-star or entry-level 4-star hotels. The actual properties, room categories, meal plan, heating and facilities are shared before booking.

Will we get an Innova Crysta?

The Premium category uses a suitable Ertiga or Innova-class vehicle depending on group size, luggage and the booking. An Innova Crysta is guaranteed only when that exact model is stated in your quotation.

Is room heating included?

Yes. Effective room heating is included during your hotel stay, as per the confirmed hotel arrangement. We confirm the heating type, hours and hot water timing before booking.

Is the Shikara ride included?

Yes, one private Shikara ride of about one hour, subject to lake conditions. If your arrival timing does not allow it, we try to arrange it on another suitable Srinagar day.

Is a houseboat night included?

No, all six nights are in hotels. A Srinagar houseboat can replace a hotel night on request at an additional cost, subject to winter heating, access and availability.

Is this tour suitable for senior citizens?

It may suit families travelling with parents who are comfortable with the road journeys. It includes long transfer days, so hotel accessibility, mobility needs and winter conditions should be discussed before booking.

What happens if the weather affects our trip?

Our local team assesses road and weather conditions and suggests practical alternatives where possible. Inaccessible destinations are not attempted just to complete the itinerary, and any additional costs follow the terms agreed before booking.
