Kashmir Tour Packages from Delhi For a Delhi traveller, Kashmir is one of the easiest mountain trips to plan, and one of the most rewarding. There is no long, tiring drive to reach the valley. A short flight from Delhi puts you in Srinagar in under two hours, and by the same afternoon you can be sitting on a shikara on Dal Lake. That ease is exactly why Kashmir works so well for families, couples and first time travellers who do not want to spend half their holiday on the road. Here is the honest part though. The flight is the simple bit. What really decides whether your trip feels relaxed or rushed is everything that comes after you land. It comes down to the order you cover Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg, where your hotel sits, and which houseboat you pick, because the quality varies a lot. It also depends on what time you reach the Gulmarg Gondola, how many nights you keep in Pahalgam, whether Sonmarg is realistic in your season, and how well your local cab and driver are coordinated across the valley. This page is written to help you plan a Kashmir tour package from Delhi the right way, not the longest way. We will walk you through durations, routes, costs, seasons and the practical details that most websites skip. We plan custom Kashmir packages from Delhi for families, honeymooners, groups and senior citizens. We help with Delhi to Srinagar flight timing, we book hotels and houseboats we have checked ourselves, and every trip runs on a private cab with a local driver who knows the valley. We plan the Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg route around your group rather than a fixed template, and we stay reachable on WhatsApp through the trip if anything needs adjusting on the ground. If you already know your dates, the quickest way to start is to send us your travel dates, the number of travellers and your preferred hotel category, and we will suggest the version of Kashmir that fits you. Kashmir Tour Packages from Delhi at a Glance If you want the short version, here it is. Start and arrival: most trips begin in Delhi or the NCR and fly into Srinagar Airport, the most convenient arrival point for the valley. Ideal length: 5 to 7 days. Four nights and five days is the practical minimum, five nights and six days is the most balanced, and six nights and seven days is the relaxed family option. The classic route: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg. It suits families, couples, honeymooners, senior citizens and groups equally well. When to travel: December to February for snow, March to April for spring, May to June for the warm summer season, and September to November for autumn colours. Optional add-ons: Doodhpathri, Yusmarg, Gurez and Vaishno Devi. Before you start comparing hotels or adding extra valleys, settle two things first: how many days you can realistically give, and which month you are travelling. A May family trip and a January snow trip feel like two different holidays even on the same route. Best Kashmir Tour Packages from Delhi Here are the Kashmir packages from Delhi that most travellers ask about, with an honest note on who each one actually suits. Whether you are looking at Kashmir holiday packages from Delhi for a family break, a honeymoon or a winter snow trip, the right starting point is the duration that matches your leave. 4 Nights and 5 Days Kashmir Package from Delhi Route: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and a houseboat stay. Best for short leave, couples and quick family trips. This is the shortest Kashmir trip from Delhi that still feels complete. You cover Srinagar, a day in Gulmarg and a run to Pahalgam, with a night on a houseboat to round it off. It hits the main highlights, but it does move at a fair pace, so you will not have many slow mornings. It works best when you take a morning Delhi to Srinagar flight, which gives you the full first day in the valley instead of losing it to a late arrival. If your leave is tight and you still want the heart of Kashmir, this is the one. 5 Nights and 6 Days Kashmir Package from Delhi Route: Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and a houseboat. Best for most first time Delhi travellers. If you ask us which Kashmir package from Delhi to pick, this is usually the answer. The extra day over the 4N/5D trip is what makes it work, because it lets you add Sonmarg, slow down in Pahalgam and reach Gulmarg without rushing the Gondola. This package covers the classic Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg circuit at a pace that suits first timers, couples and small families. It is the most balanced version of the trip, and it remains our most recommended Delhi to Kashmir package. 6 Nights and 7 Days Kashmir Family Package from Delhi Route: Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and a houseboat with relaxed sightseeing. Best for families, senior citizens and kids. A 5 day trip is doable, but with parents and young children it can feel like one drive after another. The 6 nights 7 days Kashmir package from Delhi adds breathing room. You get a proper local day in Srinagar, an unhurried Pahalgam, and time to enjoy Gulmarg and Sonmarg without watching the clock. For a Kashmir family package from Delhi that keeps everyone comfortable, this is the better choice. Kashmir Honeymoon Package from Delhi Route: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and a houseboat with romantic inclusions. Best for honeymoon couples and anniversary trips. A Kashmir honeymoon package from Delhi is less about ticking off sights and more about good stays and quiet time together. We lean towards scenic hotels in Gulmarg or Pahalgam, a night on a well kept houseboat on Dal Lake, and a relaxed pace so you are not packing bags every morning. A sunset shikara ride, a candlelight dinner by the lake and a softer route make the difference. One honest tip: pick a good category houseboat rather than the cheapest one, because that is what keeps the experience comfortable. Kashmir Snow Package from Delhi Route: Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam with winter sightseeing. Best for December to February travellers. A Kashmir snow package from Delhi is built around one thing, finding good snow without false promises. The most reliable snow is in Gulmarg, which is why winter trips revolve around it. Srinagar may or may not have snow on any given week, and the Sonmarg road is usually closed in deep winter, so we plan accordingly. We also keep the itinerary a little flexible, because winter weather can delay flights and affect the Gulmarg Gondola. Come with the right expectations and winter Kashmir is something special. Premium Kashmir Package from Delhi Route: a premium Srinagar hotel, an upgraded houseboat and premium Gulmarg or Pahalgam stays. Best for luxury families, honeymooners and anniversary travellers. If comfort matters more than cost, the premium Kashmir package from Delhi upgrades the parts you actually feel. Think better hotels with lake or valley views, an upgraded houseboat, and premium resorts in Gulmarg or Pahalgam. The itinerary slows down too, with fewer long driving stretches. The route can stay the same, but the experience is smoother, quieter and more comfortable throughout. Kashmir with Vaishno Devi from Delhi Route: Delhi, Jammu or Katra, Vaishno Devi, then Srinagar, Gulmarg and Pahalgam. Best for families combining darshan and Kashmir. Many Delhi families like to combine Vaishno Devi darshan with the Kashmir Valley. This works well, but it is an extension rather than the core valley trip. You would typically start with Jammu or Katra and the Vaishno Devi yatra, then continue to Srinagar for the main Kashmir circuit. It adds a couple of days, so plan the duration with that in mind rather than squeezing it into a short trip. Which Kashmir Package from Delhi Should You Choose? The right Kashmir package from Delhi depends on your days, your group and what you most want from the trip. Here is how we usually guide travellers. Choose the 4N/5D trip if your leave is limited and you want the fastest practical Kashmir trip from Delhi that still covers the main valley. It is efficient, but expect full days. Choose the 5N/6D trip if this is your first time in Kashmir, since it is the best balance of coverage and comfort, and the version most first time travellers enjoy. Choose the 6N/7D trip if you are travelling with parents, young children or senior citizens, because the slower pace is worth the extra two days. Choose the honeymoon version if you want better stays, a proper houseboat experience, romantic touches and quiet private time rather than a packed sightseeing list. Choose winter Kashmir if your main goal is snow, Gulmarg and the Gondola, as the plan changes meaningfully in the snow months. Choose offbeat Kashmir only if you have seven to eight days or more and really want Doodhpathri, Yusmarg or Gurez, since adding these on a short first trip takes time away from the places most people come for. Not sure which one fits your dates? Send us your travel month, the number of people and a rough budget, and we will suggest the right Kashmir itinerary from Delhi. Kashmir Package from Delhi with Flight or Without Flight Kashmir Package from Delhi with Flight A Kashmir package from Delhi with flight bundles everything into one booking. That means the Delhi to Srinagar flight, hotels, cab, meals and sightseeing, all in one place. It is the most convenient option if you would rather not manage anything separately, which is why it suits honeymooners, families and senior citizens who want a single point of contact and a settled plan. Kashmir Land Package from Srinagar A Kashmir land package from Srinagar is for travellers who prefer to book their own Delhi to Srinagar flights and let us handle everything on the ground. That means airport pickup, hotels, the private cab, meals, houseboat stay and all sightseeing. You keep control of your flight timing and fares, and we take care of the valley. What We Recommend For most Delhi travellers, booking flights separately gives more flexibility and better control over timing. Fares move a lot, and a morning flight makes a real difference to your first day, so it helps to choose your own. We then plan the complete land package from Srinagar around those flights. Srinagar Airport is the most convenient arrival point for Kashmir, and we build the trip from there. Best Ways to Reach Kashmir from Delhi Delhi to Srinagar by Flight For most travellers, flying is the clear choice. The Delhi to Srinagar flight takes under two hours, and it saves you two long days on the road. A few practical points make it smoother. Morning flights are better, because they give you a full first day and a buffer if there is a delay. Avoid landing late and then driving straight to Pahalgam the same day, since you will reach in the dark and tired. If your return flight is early, keep your last night in Srinagar rather than further out. Flight delays are possible in winter and on foggy mornings, so do not plan anything too tight around your arrival. Airport pickup should be part of your land package so you are met as soon as you land. Delhi to Kashmir by Train Train based Kashmir planning has become more practical than it used to be. Delhi travellers usually plan via Jammu or Katra, and then continue by rail or road into the valley depending on what is running at the time. Rail connectivity into Kashmir has improved in recent years, but services and timings change, so always check the current train availability before you lock your plan. For a relaxed first trip, many families still prefer to fly and keep the train idea for later if they specifically want it. Delhi to Kashmir by Road The road route runs from Delhi to Jammu, then up through Patnitop or Banihal and on to Srinagar and the Kashmir Valley. It is a long drive spread over a couple of days, and it suits road trip lovers who enjoy the journey itself. For families, honeymooners and anyone on a shorter trip, flying to Srinagar is usually the better call. It keeps your energy for the valley rather than the highway. Best Route Options for Kashmir Tour from Delhi Classic First Time Kashmir Route Srinagar to Gulmarg to Pahalgam to Sonmarg and back to Srinagar. This is the standard Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg package from Delhi, and it works best as a 5N/6D or 6N/7D trip. It covers everything a first timer comes for. Relaxed Family Route Srinagar, then Pahalgam for two nights, a Gulmarg day trip or stay, a Sonmarg day trip, and a Srinagar houseboat night. The extra time in Pahalgam keeps the pace gentle, which suits families with kids and senior citizens. Honeymoon Route Srinagar, a Gulmarg stay, a Pahalgam stay and a houseboat night. Staying overnight in Gulmarg and Pahalgam rather than rushing day trips gives couples more scenic time and privacy. Winter Snow Route Srinagar to Gulmarg to Pahalgam and back to Srinagar. In the snow months the route stays tighter and centred on Gulmarg, since that is where the reliable snow is and the Sonmarg road is usually shut. Offbeat Kashmir Route Srinagar to Doodhpathri, Yusmarg or Gurez, then Gulmarg and Pahalgam. This only makes sense if you have extra days, because on a short trip it pulls time away from the main valley. Best Kashmir Itinerary Options from Delhi 4 Nights and 5 Days Kashmir Itinerary from Delhi Day 1: Delhi to Srinagar flight, local sightseeing and a shikara ride on Dal Lake. Day 2: Srinagar to Gulmarg as a day trip, then back to Srinagar. Day 3: Srinagar to Pahalgam, with the drive and riverside time. Day 4: Pahalgam sightseeing, then return to a Srinagar houseboat. Day 5: Srinagar airport drop. This covers the highlights well, but it is slightly packed, so it suits travellers who do not mind full days. 5 Nights and 6 Days Kashmir Itinerary from Delhi Day 1: Delhi to Srinagar flight, the Mughal Gardens and Dal Lake. Day 2: Sonmarg day trip and back to Srinagar. Day 3: Srinagar to Gulmarg. Day 4: Gulmarg to Pahalgam. Day 5: Pahalgam valleys, then return to a Srinagar houseboat. Day 6: Srinagar airport drop. This is the best first time Kashmir itinerary from Delhi, with a sensible balance of sightseeing and rest. 6 Nights and 7 Days Kashmir Itinerary from Delhi Day 1: Delhi to Srinagar flight and an easy first evening. Day 2: Srinagar local sightseeing and Dal Lake. Day 3: Sonmarg day trip. Day 4: Srinagar to Gulmarg. Day 5: Gulmarg to Pahalgam. Day 6: Pahalgam sightseeing, then return to a Srinagar houseboat. Day 7: Srinagar airport drop. This is the most comfortable option for families, senior citizens and anyone who prefers a relaxed pace. 7 Nights and 8 Days Offbeat Kashmir Itinerary from Delhi With seven to eight days, you can keep the full classic circuit and add an offbeat leg. Depending on the season and road conditions, that might be a couple of nights in Doodhpathri or Yusmarg for quiet meadows, or a longer run up to Gurez Valley once its road is reliably open. This is not the right plan for a rushed first trip, but for a second visit or a longer holiday it shows you a calmer, less crowded side of Kashmir. Kashmir Trip Cost from Delhi The honest answer on Kashmir trip cost from Delhi is that it changes with the season, the hotels you choose, the route, the type of cab and whether flights are included. A May family trip in good hotels and a January trip in basic stays can sit far apart in price, so fixed numbers on a web page are rarely accurate. What helps more is understanding the broad levels and what each one includes. A budget Kashmir package, usually a 4N/5D or 5N/6D trip, works well for groups of friends and budget conscious families, with basic hotels and a standard cab. A standard package, most often 5N/6D, is the popular middle choice for first time families and couples, with good hotels and a private cab. A premium package, typically 6N/7D, steps up to better hotels and a quality houseboat, which suits honeymoon couples and families who want more comfort. A luxury package, 6N/7D and longer, brings in resorts, upgraded rooms and a slower pace for travellers who want the smoothest possible trip. What Affects Kashmir Package Cost from Delhi? A few things move the price more than others. The trip duration and the travel month come first, since peak season and longer trips naturally cost more. After that it is the hotel category, the houseboat category and the type of cab. The number of travellers matters too, because sharing a vehicle and rooms changes the per person cost. Then there is whether you want a Kashmir package from Delhi with flight or a land only package, the Gulmarg Gondola tickets, any union or local vehicle charges, the meal plan, snow gear, honeymoon inclusions and premium rooms with better views. None of these are hidden. They are simply the levers that decide your final quote. Share your dates, the number of travellers and your hotel preference, and we will send a clear Kashmir quote with inclusions and exclusions laid out. Gulmarg Gondola, Local Cabs and Important Kashmir Travel Rules A little practical knowledge here saves a lot of stress on the ground. The Gulmarg Gondola is one of the highlights of the trip, and it is best to book tickets early, especially in peak and snow season when demand is high. Book through the official channels rather than anyone promising last minute tickets near the site, since unofficial claims often lead to inflated prices or disappointment. On a busy day the upper phase can also close at short notice if the weather turns, so it helps to keep the plan flexible. A few sightseeing points in Kashmir are served by local union vehicles. In places like the Pahalgam valleys and parts of Sonmarg, the final stretch to certain spots is covered by local taxis or ponies rather than your own cab, and those charges are usually separate. Pony rides, ATV rides, snow gear and similar local activities are generally not part of the base package either, so it is good to budget for them if you want them. Gulmarg day trips reward an early start, both for the Gondola queue and the weather. None of this should worry you. It is simply how the valley works, and knowing it in advance means there are no surprises. Best Places Covered in Kashmir Packages from Delhi Srinagar Srinagar is the heart of almost every Kashmir trip. You will spend time on Dal Lake, ideally with a night on a houseboat and a slow shikara ride in the evening light. The Mughal Gardens are the other big draw, with Nishat Bagh, Shalimar Bagh and Chashme Shahi laid out against the hills, and Pari Mahal sitting above them with a wide view over the lake. Add Hazratbal shrine by the water, the climb up to Shankaracharya Temple, and the old markets for saffron, dry fruits and handicrafts, and you have a full, easy first day or two. Gulmarg Gulmarg is the snow and meadow centre of Kashmir. In winter it is the most reliable place in the valley for snow, with skiing for those who want it and the Gondola carrying you up towards Apharwat for big mountain views. In summer the same slopes turn into wide green meadows. Pony rides, snow play and a couple of premium stays make it a place worth more than a quick stop if your trip and season allow. Pahalgam Pahalgam is the gentle, green side of the valley, and it is the part families tend to love most. The Lidder river runs right through it, and the side valleys of Aru and Betaab, along with Chandanwari, are the main outings. The pace here is slow by design. Riverside stays, easy walks and unhurried mornings make Pahalgam the place to settle into rather than rush, which is why we rarely recommend skipping it. Sonmarg Sonmarg is the scenic drive and glacier stop, usually done as a day trip from Srinagar. The road follows the Sindh river through some of the prettiest landscape in the valley, and the Thajiwas Glacier is the main draw at the end. It is at its best from late spring through autumn. In deep winter the road is often closed, so it tends to drop out of snow season plans. Doodhpathri Doodhpathri is a soft, open meadow a few hours from Srinagar, and it makes a lovely offbeat add-on when you have a spare day. It is greener and quieter than the headline spots, with gentle streams and space to simply sit. It is best kept for trips that have a little extra time rather than squeezed into a tight schedule. Yusmarg Yusmarg is another quiet meadow route, less visited and calmer than the main circuit. It suits travellers who want a peaceful half day or day away from the crowds, and like Doodhpathri it works best as an add-on when the days allow. Gurez Valley Gurez is one of the most beautiful offbeat valleys in Kashmir, set along the Kishanganga with a remote, untouched feel. It needs extra nights and a reliably open road, so it is not suited to rushed first time trips. For travellers with more days and a taste for the road less travelled, it is a real reward. Gulmarg vs Pahalgam vs Sonmarg: What Should You Prioritise? These three places anchor most Kashmir trips, and each plays a different role. Gulmarg is your snow, Gondola, winter and honeymoon stop, and it is worth an overnight stay if you are on a premium or winter trip, or a day trip if your time is short. Pahalgam is the family favourite, all riverside calm and slow travel, and it deserves one to two nights rather than a quick visit. Sonmarg is about the glacier views and the scenic drive, and it usually works best as a day trip when the season and roads allow. If you want to go offbeat, Doodhpathri is a lovely meadow you can manage as a day trip or short add-on, while Gurez is a full offbeat valley that needs two extra nights to do properly. For most first time Delhi travellers, Pahalgam should not be skipped, since its slow riverside pace is what people remember most. Gulmarg earns its place in almost every plan for the snow and the Gondola, and Sonmarg is the one most worth treating as flexible rather than fixed. Best Things to Do in Kashmir from Delhi Some of the best moments in Kashmir are simple ones. A slow shikara ride on Dal Lake as the light softens, and a night on a houseboat with the water just outside, are reason enough to come. Riding the Gulmarg Gondola up towards the snow line is the big set piece, and in winter the chance to actually play in deep snow is what many Delhi families travel for. Beyond that, the valley rewards an unhurried pace. Spend time in the Pahalgam valleys of Aru and Betaab, take the scenic run out to Sonmarg and the Thajiwas Glacier when the season allows, and warm up with a cup of Kashmiri kahwa along the way. The markets are worth an afternoon for saffron, dry fruits and local handicrafts. Couples often plan a quiet photoshoot or a riverside resort stay, and in spring the Tulip Garden in Srinagar is a lovely seasonal addition. If you have the extra days, adding Doodhpathri or Gurez shows you a calmer, more offbeat side of Kashmir that most short trips miss. Best Time to Visit Kashmir from Delhi March to April This is spring in the valley. The famous Tulip Garden in Srinagar opens for a few weeks, the Mughal Gardens start to bloom, and the weather is pleasant though still cool. It is a lovely time to visit, with a chance of the odd rainy day. May to June This is the most popular window for family holidays, lining up with the school summer break. The weather is at its most comfortable, the meadows are green, and all the main routes including Sonmarg are open. It does get busy, so it helps to book early. July to August Kashmir stays green and pleasant through these months, though there can be some rain. This is also the Amarnath Yatra period, which affects movement and security on parts of the Pahalgam and Sonmarg routes, so the plan needs a little extra thought around timing. September to November Autumn is a quietly beautiful time in Kashmir. The crowds thin, the air turns crisp, and from late October the chinar leaves turn gold and red across Srinagar. It is the best season for photography and calm, unhurried travel. December to February This is snow season. Gulmarg becomes the centre of the trip, with skiing and reliable snow, and it is a favourite for winter honeymoon trips. Flights can be delayed by fog or snow, and the Sonmarg road is usually closed, so winter plans are best kept a little flexible. For snow, choose December to February. For easy family sightseeing, choose April to June. For autumn colours and fewer crowds, choose September to November. Is Kashmir Safe for Tourists from Delhi? It is a fair question, and it deserves an honest answer rather than a slogan. We will not tell you Kashmir is completely safe, because no destination ever is. What we can say is that the main tourist routes, Srinagar, Gulmarg, Pahalgam and Sonmarg, are visited by large numbers of domestic travellers through the year, and most trips pass without any issue. The sensible approach is to travel aware rather than anxious. A few simple habits go a long way. Carry valid ID at all times, follow local police and tourism instructions, and respect any advisories in place during your visit. Avoid political gatherings, and steer clear of unnecessary late night movement. Use verified hotels and drivers rather than arranging things on the spot. Keep your itinerary flexible so you can adjust if conditions change, check winter road conditions before travelling in the snow months, and stay in touch with your trip coordinator throughout. Travelling with reliable local support is the single biggest thing that keeps a Kashmir trip smooth. Kashmir Tour Packages from Delhi FAQs
For most first time travellers, the 5 nights and 6 days package is the best Kashmir tour package from Delhi. It covers Srinagar, Sonmarg, Gulmarg and Pahalgam at a comfortable pace. Shorter trips work for tight leave, and 6N/7D suits families who want it slower.
