Best Manali Tour Packages from Pune Tour Packages Curated By Experts

Manali Tour Packages from Pune

A Manali trip from Pune is really two trips joined together. You first reach a northern gateway like Delhi or Chandigarh by flight or train, then continue to Manali by road, because Manali has no airport or railway station of its own. The package prices on this page cover the mountain arrangements, and on Volvo trips the gateway coach, but they do not automatically include your travel from Pune. Once you have that boundary clear, the rest is simple: pick your gateway and transport, then match your Manali stay to the days you can spare. These trips work for couples, families and groups alike.

Share your travel dates for an itemised price, or compare the packages below to see which structure fits your trip.

Your main decisions are total cost, days away from Pune, the gateway city, how many nights you actually spend in a hotel, transport comfort, sightseeing and booking terms. This page covers each one plainly. One honest note first: Rohtang Pass and fresh snow are what people ask about most, and neither can be promised for a given date. Both depend on the season, the weather and the authorities, so we say that upfront rather than let a package name promise it.

Quick Answers for Planning Manali from Pune

Which gateway do most people use? Delhi and Chandigarh. Delhi often has more flights and the overnight Volvo option, while Chandigarh shortens the road leg. Bhuntar near Kullu is closest but has fewer, weather dependent flights.

Are Pune flights or trains included? No. Package prices cover the ground arrangements, and the gateway coach on Volvo trips. Your Pune to gateway travel is separate and is quoted only if you ask us to include it.

Why do package nights sometimes include overnight transport? A Volvo trip counts your overnight coach journeys as nights, so a five day package can mean two hotel nights plus two bus nights, not four hotel nights. Always check the night split.

Are Rohtang and snow guaranteed? No. Rohtang is seasonal and permit controlled, and snow depends on the weather on your date. When Rohtang is closed we run a planned alternative and explain it before the day begins.

What do you need for a quote? Your dates or month, the number of adults and children with ages, how many days you can spare, your preferred gateway, your hotel level and your rough budget, and whether that budget includes your Pune travel.

Choose a Manali Package That Fits Your Trip

All four packages below are private bookings, so your sightseeing cab carries only your group. On the Volvo trips, the long gateway journeys use a scheduled public coach shared with other passengers, which keeps the price sensible. None is a fixed group departure on a set date, so you choose your own dates. The starting prices are per person on double sharing and cover the ground and gateway arrangements, not your travel from Pune.

The shortest option is the Best Value Manali Volvo Package with Rohtang Pass, 5 days and 4 nights. Those four nights are 2 hotel nights in Manali and 2 overnight Volvo journeys, so you get two full days in the mountains without a long leave. Sightseeing is private, only the coach is shared, and you start from Delhi or Chandigarh. Starting price ₹9,999 per person. It suits couples, families and friends who want a well run trip at a good price.

For a proper hotel base, the Premium Manali Tour Package with Private Cab and Rohtang Pass is 5 days and 4 nights with 3 hotel nights in a selected 4 star hotel and one overnight return drive on the last day. Your cab is private throughout, from Delhi, Chandigarh or within Manali. Starting price ₹14,999 per person. The overnight return is long, so with young children or older parents you can add a fourth Manali night and leave the next morning instead, priced separately.

For both hill stations, the Complete Shimla Manali Volvo Package with Rohtang Pass runs 7 days and 6 nights: 2 nights in Shimla, 2 in Manali and 2 overnight Volvo journeys on the Delhi option. A private cab handles Shimla, Kufri, the Shimla to Manali drive and your Manali sightseeing, while the Rohtang day uses a shared or locally authorised vehicle as the permit rules require. Starting price ₹15,999 per person from Delhi or Chandigarh.

For the same circuit at a fully private pace, the Premium Shimla Manali Private Cab Tour with Rohtang Pass is 6 days and 5 nights, with 2 nights in Shimla and 3 in Manali and no overnight bus. Your own cab stays with you throughout, and Kufri, Manali town and Rohtang each get their own day. The last day is a long drive back to the plains, so keep room before any onward connection. Starting price ₹18,999 per person, and the Chandigarh start cuts hours off the long driving days.

If none fits, we can plan a custom trip: a longer Manali stay, a honeymoon pace or a family itinerary. A custom plan is quoted on its own rather than stretching a fixed product. For more ideas, browse all Manali tour packages.

What Does a Manali Trip from Pune Cost?

The figure on a package card is only part of your holiday budget. Your full cost is the selected ground package, your return travel from Pune, any transfers not already included, any gateway hotel night, meals outside the plan, optional activities and a buffer for weather or traffic. A low ground rate is not the price of the whole trip from home.

What the advertised price covers

A starting price like ₹9,999 per person is the ground and gateway cost for one traveller on double sharing, from Delhi or Chandigarh. It includes your Manali hotel nights, the listed meals, private sightseeing and, on Volvo trips, the coach between gateway and Manali. It does not include your Pune flight or train, and it moves with your dates and choices.

What changes your total

Your final price depends on your dates, holiday demand around weekends and festivals, your hotel and room choice, group size, cab size, room sharing and optional sightseeing. Peak season and last minute bookings usually cost more. A couple still pays per person, so two travellers are counted as two.

What you may pay separately

Think in three boundaries within one quotation, not three products. A stay and local sightseeing package covers your Manali hotel and sightseeing. A Delhi or Chandigarh ground package adds the coach or cab between the plains and the mountains. A quote that expressly includes your Pune tickets adds the flight or train on top. We tell you which your price covers, so nothing is assumed.

Ask us for an itemised quote and we will set out the ground cost, the gateway travel and your Pune connection line by line, with single occupancy, extra beds and child charges confirmed separately.

How Many Days Should You Keep for Manali from Pune?

Count four things separately: calendar days away from Pune, hotel nights, nights spent travelling, and usable sightseeing days. A five day gateway package is not automatically a five day holiday, because your Pune travel sits on both sides.

2 or 3 hotel nights

A short mountain break. Two nights give you Manali town and one excursion day, which feels full. Three nights add Solang Valley properly. Your Pune travel days are extra on top.

4 hotel nights

A comfortable stay. You can cover Manali town, a Solang day and a seasonal excursion and still keep a free morning, so the trip feels relaxed rather than packed.

5 hotel nights

Suits a slower pace or a light extension towards Naggar. It works well for honeymooners and families who do not want to rush, and for anyone who wants a buffer day for weather.

6 or more hotel nights

For a slower stay or a combined itinerary such as adding Shimla or a Kasol side trip. The extra leg needs its own travel day and hotel plan, so tell us early.

To make the overnight point concrete, the five day Volvo trip has 2 hotel nights in Manali and 2 nights on the coach, with sightseeing across the two full days between. A 4 nights 5 days label describes the package length, not the number of hotel nights. Flight timings, a rail journey or a gateway night all change the leave you finally need, so we work out your exact days from your dates.

How to Reach Manali from Pune

The journey has two stages. Manali has no railway station, so flights and trains reach a gateway and the trip continues by road. Bhuntar, also called Kullu Manali Airport, serves the Kullu Manali region and is around 50 km from Manali, according to Himachal Tourism.

Pune to Chandigarh by flight, then a road transfer

Flying into Chandigarh shortens the road leg compared with Delhi. Your arrival time matters, because the drive up is a full mountain day and an early arrival gives you more daylight on the road through Mandi and Kullu.

Pune to Delhi by flight, then an overnight Volvo or private cab

Delhi usually has more flights and the overnight Volvo plan, where you travel through the night and reach Manali in the morning. An airport arrival and a coach boarding point are different places in Delhi, so keep time to transfer between them.

Pune to a rail gateway, then road travel

Trains are a date dependent option to a gateway such as Delhi, Chandigarh or Ambala, with road travel from there. There is no direct train to Manali, so do not plan around a train name, timetable or guaranteed seat until it is booked for your dates.

Connecting flights to Bhuntar when they suit

When a suitable service runs, a connecting flight to Bhuntar brings you closest to Manali. A nearby airport does not prove a convenient Pune connection, though, and these flights are limited and weather dependent, so do not assume one operates on your date.

Is it worth routing through Mumbai?

A Mumbai flight is sometimes cheaper than from Pune. Before choosing it, weigh the extra time and cost of reaching Mumbai against the actual airfare saving. It is worth considering, but not automatically cheaper once the transfer is counted.

On the word Volvo: on our packages it means the coach leg between the gateway and Manali. There is no direct Travel Coffee Volvo from Pune to Manali.

Delhi or Chandigarh, and Volvo or Private Cab?

No gateway is always cheapest or best. It depends on the flight or train you can get and the journey your group is comfortable with.

Delhi as your gateway. It suits a convenient connection and an overnight coach, and is the usual start for the Volvo trips and for Manali packages starting in Delhi.

Chandigarh as your gateway. It reduces the road distance when timings fit, which families and older travellers often prefer, and makes the long driving days easier on the private cab trips.

The road, stage by stage. The drive runs from the Chandigarh region through Mandi and Kullu to Manali. Treat any quoted driving time as moving time only. The full journey also includes airport procedures, baggage, transfers, waiting, meal stops and traffic, so it always takes longer.

Volvo coach. An AC semi sleeper or similar, shared with other passengers, with seats allotted by the operator. It is comfortable and good value, but luggage space is limited and the schedule is fixed. Adjacent seats depend on availability unless confirmed in writing.

Private cab. Carries only your group and lets you stop freely. It is sized to your group and luggage, so a sedan suits two or three while a family may need an SUV or Tempo Traveller. A specific model is confirmed only in writing, and air conditioning may not work on steep climbs, which is normal here.

Planning your return. A scheduled arrival back at the gateway is not a guaranteed airport arrival, since timings shift with traffic and weather. If your return flight is tight, or you have children or older parents, add a gateway night before you fly rather than risk a same day connection.

A Sample Pune to Manali Itinerary

Here is one seven day example routed through Chandigarh. Read it as a custom planning example, not a priced product. It has 4 hotel nights in Manali and 2 hotel nights in Chandigarh, six in total, and depends on suitable flights and confirmed arrangements.

Day 1: Fly from Pune to Chandigarh

Fly from Pune to Chandigarh and stay overnight there. An evening arrival lets you rest before the mountain drive, keeps your first hill day relaxed, and gives flight or weather delays a little room.

Day 2: Chandigarh to Manali

Drive from Chandigarh to Manali through Mandi and Kullu valley, a full day on the road with stops. Check in, freshen up and keep the evening light for a short walk. This is your first Manali hotel night.

Day 3: Manali local sightseeing

Spend the day on Manali town at an easy pace, with a sensible selection of Hadimba Temple, Vashisht, the Tibetan monastery, Old Manali or Mall Road. Some lanes are walking only. This is your second Manali night.

Day 4: Solang Valley

Head to Solang Valley for the day, with time for independently paid activities if they are operating. It is scenic for views and photos even if you skip the adventure sports. This is your third Manali night.

Day 5: One main mountain excursion

Keep one main seasonal excursion for today: Rohtang Pass if it is open and properly arranged, or the Atal Tunnel and Sissu if access permits. If the higher roads are shut, Naggar or a lighter local day works instead. This is your fourth Manali night.

Day 6: Drive back to Chandigarh

Drive back to Chandigarh and stay overnight, ready for your flight. Keep this a travel day rather than adding a full Kasol and Manikaran excursion before the long drive, which would make it rushed.

Day 7: Fly back to Pune

Fly back to Pune from Chandigarh, with your airport transfer planned separately or written into your quote. A morning gap before the flight protects against delays on the drive down.

How this changes with a real package is simple. An actual Volvo product swaps some hotel nights for overnight coach journeys, so the count shifts. Extra nights let you add Naggar comfortably, or Kasol and Manikaran as a side trip. Adding Shimla needs its own travel day and hotel plan, which is why we keep separate Shimla and Manali packages. For a wider plan, see all Himachal tour packages.

Ask us to customise it and we will shape the days around your dates, pace and the people travelling with you.

What Is Included, What Costs Extra and What Can Be Added?

The selected package sets the contract, so the exact list depends on which trip you book. As a general guide:

What a package usually includes:

  • Accommodation on the stated sharing basis, with the hotel name and room type shared before you confirm
  • The listed meal plan, usually breakfast and dinner at the hotel, with the number of meals set out
  • The confirmed pickup and drop, and the private sightseeing vehicle for your group
  • The mountain excursion, including the standard Rohtang permit and congestion charges when the trip is confirmed and the pass is open
  • Fuel, driver allowance, tolls, parking, on trip help from our team, and all taxes

What usually costs extra:

  • Your Pune tickets, airport or station to coach transfers, and any gateway hotel night
  • Breakfast on an arrival morning, lunches, snacks and drinks
  • Room heaters, early check in and late checkout
  • Entry tickets, a professional guide, snow clothing, skiing, ropeway rides, paragliding and river rafting
  • Extra waiting or sightseeing you ask for, single occupancy, vehicle upgrades and any cost from disruption

Not every item above is excluded from every trip, so read the inclusions of the package you choose. On Rohtang, these four packages include the seasonal excursion and the standard permit, kept separate from the optional adventure activities. A special snow vehicle newly ordered by the authorities, or a later statutory increase, can be charged separately, and your confirmation spells out which Rohtang arrangement applies.

You can also ask us to add a hotel upgrade, an extra night, a private transfer, a quieter room, couple arrangements, or a Naggar or Kasol excursion. We mention flight or rail booking help only if we actually confirm that service, so please ask rather than assume.

Which Trip Style Suits You?

Couples and honeymooners

A private cab trip with three or more Manali nights gives privacy, an easy pace and time for the evenings. We can request a nicer room or quieter location, though a view, balcony or decoration is promised only when written into your hotel confirmation. See our Manali honeymoon packages.

Families with children

Families value a steady itinerary, a sensible vehicle with luggage space and easy hotels. The Chandigarh start shortens the long drives, which helps with younger children. Our Manali family packages are a good place to begin.

Older travellers

Driving tolerance and hotel access matter most. Some hotels sit above or below the road and need a short walk up steps, and lifts are not a given, so tell us if anyone needs easier access. A shorter gateway leg and a calmer plan help a lot.

Friends and groups

Groups want flexibility and a vehicle that keeps everyone together, so a private cab or Tempo Traveller works well, sized for luggage, not only seats. These are private bookings, so your group travels on your own dates.

Solo and budget travellers

A solo traveller is quoted for a private trip with a single room, since we cannot place you in another guest's room. The Volvo trips are easiest on the budget because the coach leg is shared. Tell us your budget and we will suggest the most sensible plan.

For anyone with health or mobility concerns, talk through the route and your needs before booking, and get proper medical advice for personal health questions. We plan honestly around what you tell us, but we cannot give clinical advice or make blanket safety guarantees.

Where Should You Stay in Manali?

Central Manali keeps you near Mall Road, cafes and the evening buzz, handy for walking out in the evening, though it is busier and parking is tighter. The quieter outskirts trade some convenience for calm and often better views, with a short drive into town. Old Manali has a relaxed, cafe lined character for a slower trip, but its lanes mean more walking and some slopes, and vehicle access is limited in parts.

Beyond location, check the exact hotel and room category, heating charges, hot water, power arrangements, lift or ground floor access, child and extra bed rules, meal times and dietary needs. Many hill hotels charge for a room heater, and a lift, central heating or continuous hot water cannot be assumed everywhere. Triple sharing often means an extra mattress rather than three full beds. Vegetarian or Jain meals should be requested and confirmed in advance. We share the hotel name and room type before you confirm.

When Is a Good Time to Visit Manali from Pune?

Seasons here are about tradeoffs, not guarantees, so treat these as general guidance.

March and April

Pleasant days and the start of the main season. Higher passes may still be opening, so a seasonal excursion depends on the road and the authorities at the time.

May and June

Peak summer holiday season, warmest and busiest, with the best general access to high areas when open. Book early. For the pass, see our guide on the best time to visit Rohtang Pass.

July and August

The monsoon can be green and quiet, but road disruption, landslides and slower journeys are a real possibility. Keep buffer time and flexible plans.

September to November

Autumn brings clear weather and thinner crowds. Pleasant weather in town does not guarantee access to the high passes, which close with early snow. Our note on the best time for a Shimla Manali trip compares these months.

December to February

Winter can bring snow at accessible elevations and a festive feel. Keep three expectations separate: fresh snowfall while you are there, snow lying on the ground, and a snow covered town are not the same, and none can be promised. See Manali in December.

A Pune note: Maharashtra school holidays, Diwali, long weekends and the Christmas and New Year period are the busiest windows, with higher prices and tighter availability. We would rather help you pick a sensible date than quote a fixed festival date, a booking deadline or a cheapest month, since those shift every year and hotels do not hand out automatic discounts.

Solang Valley, Rohtang Pass, Atal Tunnel and Sissu Explained

These four names get mixed up, so here is each in plain terms.

Solang Valley is an activity and sightseeing area a short drive from Manali, known for its views and optional adventure sports that you pay for directly. It is usually accessible across the season.

Rohtang Pass is a seasonal high mountain pass above Manali. It is controlled by the authorities, needs a permit and runs on a daily vehicle quota, and it can close for weather, snow, maintenance days or official orders. Its name in a package does not mean access on every date.

Atal Tunnel is a separate road route beneath the mountain barrier. Driving through the tunnel is not the same as visiting Rohtang Pass. It is a different road and a different experience.

Sissu lies in Lahaul, beyond the tunnel, and is often the alternative when Rohtang is closed. Access to the tunnel and Sissu can also be restricted, so they are possible alternatives, not guaranteed fallbacks.

Permits, vehicle conditions and local orders change, so we never rely on an old fee, quota or opening date. For Rohtang permits, the Kullu district administration now directs visitors to the official portal at rohtangpermits.hp.gov.in. On our packages we arrange the standard permit and the authorised vehicle where the rules require one, but we cannot claim a live permit slot or today's road status has been checked. For more depth, see our Rohtang Pass packages and Sissu tour packages.

What Happens If Weather Changes the Plan?

Mountain plans flex. Weather or a closure can change the order of excursions, which sightseeing is reachable, and sometimes an overnight arrangement. When that happens, we offer the best option available and talk it through with you before the day starts.

Replacement sightseeing, any unused service, additional accommodation, extra transport charges and refunds all follow your confirmed booking terms and the relevant supplier conditions. We cannot promise a free alternative, an automatic refund or compensation for a flight you booked separately, so keep flexible plans and a buffer around tight connections. The detail is in our cancellation policy and terms and conditions.

What Should You Pack and Check Before Leaving Pune?

A short checklist helps:

  • Identification and booking documents for every traveller, with proof of a child's date of birth
  • Seasonal layers, warm clothing for the hills, and footwear with good grip
  • Winter gloves and headwear in the colder months
  • Sun protection, as the mountain sun is strong even when it is cold
  • Your regular personal medicines
  • A power bank and a reusable water bottle

Summer trips need lighter layers with a warm top for evenings and high areas. Winter trips need proper warm clothing and grip, with snow gear usually rented locally.

Before you leave, confirm the exact airport or station, your coach boarding point, your reporting time, whether a room is available if you arrive early, and your luggage allowance. Mobile data and WiFi depend on the property and location, so treat reliable work calls on the road as uncertain, and do not assume every place accepts UPI.

Why Plan with Travel Coffee?

Our value is a trip planned honestly, not grand claims. You get clear trip boundaries, documented inclusions, itinerary customisation where available, realistic seasonal planning, and the support actually listed in the package you choose. Our team on the ground in Manali helps while you travel, and your hotel, room and transport details are shared in writing before you confirm.

Read more on the About Travel Coffee page, and see genuine guest feedback on our reviews page. The review widgets show real ratings from past travellers. We do not write testimonials, invent Pune customers or move a review from another route onto this page.

What Happens After You Enquire?

The path from enquiry to booking is simple:

  1. You share your dates and travellers, including adults and children with ages.
  2. We compare gateway and transport options that fit your flights and budget.
  3. We review hotels and the itinerary with you and adjust the pace.
  4. You check the written quotation and the policies.
  5. You confirm with the agreed payment and receive your booking information.

For an accurate first quote, tell us your travel month or dates, the adults and children with ages, how many days you can spare, your preferred gateway, whether you lean towards a flight or a train, your hotel level, your approximate budget, and any comfort or dietary needs. Please say whether that budget already includes your Pune travel, since it changes the quote. You can use the contact form or the WhatsApp button to reach us.

A booking amount holds your trip and the balance is paid before travel, as the team sets out, with full terms in our payment policy. When you are ready, send your dates and we will prepare the itinerary and an itemised quote for your Manali trip from Pune. You can also reach us through the contact page.

  • Mall Road Manali

Mall Road is Manali's main commercial street, pedestrian along the central stretch, lined with shops selling woolens, shawls, and Tibetan handicrafts, and restaurants serving everything from momos to North Indian thalis. Not a sightseeing attraction, but a functional part of any Manali trip that comes alive in the evening with street food and strolling crowds.

  • Naggar Castle

Naggar Castle is a 15th century stone and timber castle on the left bank of the Beas, about 20 km from Manali. Built by Raja Sidh Singh around 1460 AD using the Kath Kuni technique (stone and deodar wood without mortar), it served as the royal seat of the Kullu Kingdom before the capital shifted. Now a heritage hotel run by HPTDC. Museum sections open generally 9 AM to 5 PM, ₹30 entry. Worth the visit for the architecture, the valley views from the carved wooden balconies, and the quiet contrast to Manali's crowds.

  • Hampta Pass Trek

Hampta Pass is a crossover trek in the Pir Panjal range that takes you from the green Kullu Valley to the stark Lahaul Valley in about four to five days. The pass sits at roughly 4,270 m, the trail covers about 26 km, and the difficulty is moderate. It starts near Manali and ends at Chatru, with most trekkers adding a day to visit Chandratal Lake. One of the most accessible high altitude pass treks in India.

  • Beas Kund Trek

Easy to moderate difficulty. One of the best beginner treks in the Manali region.

  • Bhrigu Lake Trek

Bhrigu Lake is a glacial lake at roughly 4,250 metres in the Kullu district of Himachal Pradesh, reached by a 3 to 4 day trek starting from Gulaba near Manali. The trek climbs from dense oak and pine forest into wide alpine meadows almost from the first hour, with views of the Pir Panjal and Dhauladhar ranges. Named after Maharishi Bhrigu. Moderate difficulty, best done June to September, roughly 22 to 26 km round trip.

  • Jogini Falls

Jogini Falls is a roughly 150 foot waterfall about 3 km uphill from Vashisht village near Manali. The trek passes through pine and deodar forest, apple orchards, and small Himachali hamlets. A temple dedicated to Jogini Mata sits at the base, and a small natural pool forms where the water lands. Free entry, no permit, 1.5 to 2.5 hours round trip from Vashisht. Best combined with the Vashisht Hot Springs for a solid half day.

  • Vashisht Hot Springs

Vashisht Hot Springs is a natural sulphur rich hot water spring in Vashisht village, about 3 km from Manali. The water emerges at roughly 40 to 50 degrees Celsius and is channelled into public bathing areas with separate sections for men and women. The adjacent Vashisht Temple, believed to be over 4,000 years old, is dedicated to Sage Vashisht, one of the seven great Vedic sages. Free entry, open year round, 1 to 2 hours. The Jogini Waterfall trek starts from here.

  • Manu Temple

Manu Temple is a small, ancient shrine in Old Manali dedicated to Sage Manu, who in Hindu mythology is considered the progenitor of humanity. The name Manali itself comes from "Manu Alaya," meaning the abode of Manu. This is believed to be the only temple in India dedicated to the sage. Rebuilt in 1992 with marble floors and vaulted ceilings, the structure follows the pagoda style common across Himachal Pradesh, built from a mix of wood and stone. It sits near the top of Old Manali, about 3 km from Mall Road, close to the Beas River. A 30 to 45 minute visit, free entry, open daily.

  • Old Manali

Old Manali is the quieter, more characterful half of Manali, sitting about 3 km uphill from Mall Road across the Manalsu River at roughly 2,050 metres. Where the main town is hotels, traffic, and shopping, Old Manali is narrow cobbled lanes, backpacker cafes, traveller hostels, live music, and a pace that encourages you to sit rather than rush. The Manu Temple sits at the top, Hadimba Temple is a short walk away, and the Beas River runs along the edge. This is where most long stay travellers, digital nomads, and repeat visitors to Manali actually base themselves.

  • Rohtang Pass

Rohtang Pass sits at 3,978 metres (13,050 feet) on the Pir Panjal range, about 51 km north of Manali. It is the old highway crossing between the Kullu and Lahaul valleys, now primarily a day trip destination for snow play, high altitude views, and the dramatic landscape shift at the summit. Open seasonally from roughly late May to October, a permit is mandatory (apply online, Rs 500 per vehicle, 1,200 daily vehicle limit). The Atal Tunnel now bypasses the pass for through traffic to Lahaul.

Best Things To Do in Manali

  • Snow Adventure in Solang Valley

Just visualize, you step into powdery white, strap on skis, and the world suddenly looks like a Christmas card made real. Come December through March, Solang is pretty much an open invitation to fall, laugh, and maybe bust out the first real snowball of your life.

  • Explore the Old Manali Café Trail

Old Manali skips the tour bus and lets musicians, artists, and coffee fans set the tone. You can hop between postcard-worthy bookstores, scarf down a slice of apple pie, and sip chai while tunes drift in off the river.

  • Trek to Jogini Falls

Grab some comfortable shoes and give your phone a break; a quick hour from Vashisht puts you face-to-face with a waterfall that looks like it just stepped out of a fairy tale. The path coils through tall pines, and halfway up you might stop just to remember how quiet really sounds.

  • Go River Rafting on the Beas

From April to June, the Beas sheds its calm and roars to life, challenging anyone brave enough to ride its white, frothy rapids. Strapped into a raft, you'll yell, laugh, and probably swallow a mouthful of the very cold river while the mountains cheer you on from the sidelines.

  • Chill in a Riverside Cottage

Forget the usual hotel hustle. Book a cozy log cabin right by the river, hear the water whisper all morning, and lose track of time while you drink tea under the pines.

  • Cruise to Sissu Through the Atal Tunnel

Sissu is a winter secret. Ice waterfalls glisten like hanging crystals, the valleys are wide and silent, and the drive from Manali feels like a plunge into a painted landscape. One long day on the road makes you feel time-traveled! Pro tip, please? Skip the tight weekend crowds. Roll in mid-week for clearer roads, quieter trails, and café seats with the best views. And if you're here in winter, pack layers like you're playing dress-up. The weather flips moods real quick!

Why people love Manali Tour Packages from Pune

Testimonials

“Travel Coffee truly went above and beyond. Even though we booked from Indonesia without meeting them, we always felt secure — their team was available 24/7 and took care of every detail. Shubham personally ensured our comfort throughout the Himachal trip, from hotel checks to small gestures like bringing lotion and altitude pills. Their sincerity and local expertise made the journey unforgettable.”

Manali from Pune: Common Questions

Does the advertised package price include flights or trains from Pune?

No. It covers the ground arrangements and, on Volvo trips, the gateway coach from Delhi or Chandigarh. Your Pune to gateway flight or train is separate, and we quote it only if you ask.

What should I include in my total Pune to Manali budget?

Add your Pune to gateway travel, the ground package, transfers not already included, any gateway hotel night, meals outside the plan, optional activities, and a small buffer for weather or traffic.

Are prices per person or per couple?

Per person, for one traveller on double sharing. A couple shares the room but each person is counted. Single occupancy, extra beds and child charges are confirmed separately when you ask for a quote.

Is there a direct flight or train from Pune to Manali?

No. Manali has no airport or railway station. You reach a gateway such as Delhi, Chandigarh or sometimes Bhuntar near Kullu, then continue by road. The road leg is always separate.

Should I travel through Delhi, Chandigarh or Bhuntar?

It depends on your flight timings and budget. Chandigarh shortens the road leg, Delhi usually has more flights and the overnight Volvo, and Bhuntar is closest but weather dependent. We talk it through for your dates.

Does a Volvo package start in Pune?

No. The Volvo leg runs between the northern gateway and Manali, usually from Delhi or Chandigarh. There is no direct Volvo from Pune. You reach the gateway first, then board the coach.

How many days should I keep, including travel from Pune?

Count your Pune travel on both sides, not just the ground days. A five day gateway package often needs about six to eight days door to door once flights, a gateway night and the road legs are added.

Does a 4 nights 5 days package mean four hotel nights?

Not always. On the Best Value Volvo trip, the four nights are 2 hotel nights in Manali and 2 overnight coach journeys. The label describes the package length, not the hotel nights, so check the split.

Is sightseeing private or shared?

On all four packages your sightseeing cab is private. On the Volvo trips only the overnight gateway coach is shared. On the Shimla Manali trips, the Rohtang day may use a shared or locally authorised vehicle where the rules require it.

Can I change the hotel, room type or pickup point?

Yes, within what is available. Ask for an upgrade, a different room, triple sharing or a specific pickup, and we confirm the change and any price difference in writing before you book. Nothing changes without your agreement.

Is Rohtang included, and who handles the permit and vehicle?

These four packages include the seasonal Rohtang excursion and the standard permit and congestion charges when the pass is open and the permit is available. We arrange the permit and the authorised vehicle where the rules require one.

What happens if Rohtang, Atal Tunnel or Sissu is inaccessible?

We run the best option open that day, usually Solang Valley with the Atal Tunnel and Sissu, or a nearer snow point if Lahaul is also shut. Refunds for an unused excursion follow your booking terms.

Can I expect snowfall, and are snow activities included?

Snowfall cannot be promised anywhere, as it depends on the season and the weather on your date. Snow clothes, skiing, snow scooters, ropeway rides and similar activities are optional and paid directly, not included.

Which option suits a honeymoon, children or older parents?

A private cab trip with three or more Manali nights suits honeymooners and families who want a calmer pace. Older travellers often prefer the Chandigarh start. We can suggest a custom plan for your group.

Can a solo traveller join a group or share a room?

These are private bookings, not fixed group departures, so a solo traveller is quoted for a private trip with a single room. We cannot place you in another guest's room. Tell us your budget and we will advise.

Can I add Shimla, Kasol, Manikaran or Naggar?

Yes. Naggar fits inside the standard Manali routing. Kasol with Manikaran usually needs an extra night, and adding Shimla needs its own travel day and hotel plan, which is why we have separate Shimla Manali packages.

Are airport transfers, early check in, heaters and child charges included?

Not by default. Transfers, early check in, late checkout and room heaters are usually extra unless written into your confirmation. Child charges depend on the age and whether a separate seat or bed is needed.

How much advance payment is needed, and what are the cancellation terms?

A booking amount holds your trip and the balance is paid before travel, as the team shares with you. Cancellation and refund terms follow Travel Coffee's published policies and the relevant supplier conditions, sent with your quotation.

When will I receive confirmed hotel, boarding and driver details?

Your exact hotel name, room type, boarding point and timings are shared in writing before your booking is final, with driver details closer to departure, once payment and arrangements are confirmed.

Can I catch a flight on the same day as the return drive?

We do not recommend it. A scheduled road or coach arrival is not a guaranteed airport arrival, as timings shift with traffic and weather. Keep a comfortable gap or add a gateway night before you fly.
