The Baralacha day is a full day excursion that runs to the safest accessible point when the pass itself is not reachable. No separate refund applies when that full day of sightseeing is operated, since the vehicle, fuel, and driver are all provided either way. Baralacha La is around 16,000 feet, which is high. That is why the trip includes two nights in Jispa at a lower height first, to help your body adjust before the big day. Day 5 is a proper sightseeing day, not just a transfer. You visit Shashur Monastery above Keylong, a 17th century Drukpa gompa among blue pines, then the Tandi confluence, the old Gondhla Fort, and Sissu for its waterfall view and a tea break, before crossing the Atal Tunnel back to Manali for the night. The monastery and fort visits depend on opening, access, and comfortable timing on the day.
