The Jispa stay is best experienced from late spring to autumn. In colder shoulder periods, camp style stays may be replaced with the best available hotel or indoor option
Weather in Sissu and Jispa can change quickly, especially in early season and post monsoon months
Road timings, halts, and sightseeing sequence may be adjusted based on traffic at Atal Tunnel, weather conditions, and local advisories
Carry warm layers in every season because mornings and nights remain cold even when days feel pleasant
Mobile network can be patchy in parts of Lahaul and ATM access is limited compared to Manali, so carrying some cash is recommended
This trip involves mountain road travel, but the route is still much more approachable than longer Spiti circuits
