Chandigarh Airport is the nearest major alternative airport. It lies approximately 113 to 120 kilometres from Shimla, with a road journey of around 3.5 to 4 hours in normal conditions.
You can continue by HRTC bus, an airport bus where available, private cab or a pre arranged transfer. Confirm the exact pickup point because a city bus may not begin at the airport.
