Your New Year trip begins on the evening of 30 December. Reach your Delhi boarding point at the reporting time shared by our team, and our coordinator helps you board over the phone. The overnight ride towards Aut, by Volvo or Tempo Traveller as confirmed for your departure, runs through Chandigarh and Mandi, with a paid dinner and washroom stop on the way. Chandigarh travellers join at a point along the route, and since the service may reach Chandigarh after midnight, your exact boarding time and calendar date are shared in advance. Rest on the bus and reach Aut the next morning, where our team meets you. Manali joiners do not take these overnight legs, and their separate transfer joins the mountain portion on 31 December.

Know Before You Go
- Winter sightseeing: Every outdoor visit depends on safe road and trail access. Snowfall, ice, rain or local restrictions may lead the team to change the order, shorten a visit or skip a stop.
- Snowfall: This is a winter trip, but snowfall and snow-covered scenery are not guaranteed.
- Walking: The waterfalls, the lake trail and some village sights need a walk in from the vehicle drop point, on slopes and uneven ground that can be slippery when wet. Wear shoes with good grip and follow the team's instructions.
- Transport: Overnight travel between Delhi or Chandigarh and Aut is by Volvo or Tempo Traveller, confirmed for your departure before booking, so it is not an individual pick at the same price. Inside the valley we use a Tempo Traveller, Sumo or SUV by group size and road, changing vehicles at Aut.
- Your four nights: For Delhi and Chandigarh bookings, the four nights are two nights at your stay in Shangarh, on 31 December and 1 January, and two overnight journeys, on 30 December and 2 January. Manali joiners have the two Shangarh nights with separately arranged transfers, not two overnight bus journeys.
- Stay: Expect a budget hotel or homestay in Shangarh, with both nights at the same property. Room allocation follows your booked sharing category, subject to availability.
- Arrival facilities: Early check-in, a private freshening-up room or a shower on arrival are not guaranteed. We usually stop near Aut to freshen up and have breakfast, at your own cost, before driving to Shangarh.
- Meals: 2 breakfasts and 2 dinners are included, on both stay nights in Shangarh. The arrival-morning breakfast on 31 December, all lunches and the highway meals on the overnight journeys are on you, so keep some cash handy.
- Pundrik Rishi Lake: The guided walk is part of the plan, but reaching the lake is subject to trail safety. We do not continue on an unsafe trail just to complete the itinerary, so the walk can be shortened or skipped.
- Celebration timings: The team will share the permitted DJ night with music and bonfire schedule for the stay. Music volume, the bonfire area and the closing time follow the property's rules and local directions, and activities must finish within the allowed hours, even if this is before midnight.
- Trip captain: A dedicated trip captain is included only for groups of more than 10 travellers. Smaller groups of up to 10 are looked after by the local driver and our team on call.
- Local respect: Follow instructions around temples, meadows and village spaces. The celebration stays at the property, within its permitted area.
- Return schedule: Optional stops on the final day depend on the time available, and the group leaves enough time to reach the return boarding point. Arrival and sightseeing times are indicative.
- Packing: Bring warm layers, a warm jacket, gloves, a cap, comfortable walking shoes, personal medicines and a power bank.
- Cash and connectivity: Mobile signal is patchy in the valley, with BSNL usually better than Jio, and there are no ATMs near Shangarh. Carry enough cash for excluded meals and personal expenses, and save essential trip details offline.
- Holiday travel: Over the New Year window, allow extra time for boarding and onward connections, and keep a comfortable buffer for any onward travel.

What are the New Year departure dates?
The trip runs from 30 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. You stay in Shangarh on the nights of 31 December and 1 January, with checkout on 2 January.
Can I join from Chandigarh?
Yes. Select Chandigarh to Chandigarh while booking. Our team will confirm the pickup point, reporting time and boarding date for the scheduled service. Pickup may be late at night or after midnight.
Can I join from Manali?
Yes. A Manali to Manali joining option is available with separate pickup and drop for the mountain portion, from 31 December to 2 January. Your two nights in Shangarh are the same. The Delhi and Chandigarh overnight bus journeys do not apply to this option, and the team shares its reporting and return schedule separately.
Are there four hotel nights?
No. Delhi and Chandigarh bookings include two nights at a stay in Shangarh and two overnight journeys. Manali joiners have the two accommodation nights and separately arranged transfers.
What is included in the New Year celebration?
A DJ night with music and one short bonfire at the stay on 31 December, subject to weather, local permissions and permitted timings. Your regular dinner that evening is included in the package meal plan.
Are snacks, cake and drinks included?
No. Snacks, starters, cake, tea, coffee, bottled water, soft drinks and alcohol are extra. A special gala dinner, live performance and organised games are also not included.
Will the DJ continue until midnight?
This is not guaranteed. The celebration follows the timings permitted by the property and local authorities, so the music and the bonfire may finish before midnight.
Which meals are included?
Dinner on 31 December, breakfast and dinner on 1 January, and breakfast on 2 January. The arrival breakfast, lunches, highway meals and other food or drinks are extra.
Is the Pundrik Rishi Lake walk guaranteed?
The guided walk is part of the plan, but it proceeds only if the trail is safe. Snow, ice or other access issues can lead to a shorter walk or cancellation.
Is there a trip captain?
A dedicated captain accompanies groups of more than 10 travellers from Aut to Aut. Groups of up to 10 are coordinated by the driver and our team on call.
Can I join alone or with my partner?
Yes. Solo travellers, couples and friends can join. Room sharing is arranged according to the category booked and availability.
Are the Twin Towers and rafting included?
They are optional final-day choices, alongside the Manu Rishi Temple. Only one option may be considered for the group, subject to access and time. Optional activities and their applicable charges are excluded.
Is snowfall guaranteed?
No. This is a winter trip, but snowfall depends on the weather and cannot be promised.

Confirmation Policy
- Your booking is confirmed once we receive the advance amount and confirm it back to you. Stay and vehicle details are shared closer to the trip date, once the group is set. Rooms are given as per the sharing you choose, subject to availability.
Refund Policy
- Refunds, where they apply, follow the cancellation policy. Any refund linked to weather, road blocks, or local rules depends on how much we can actually recover from the hotels, transport, and vendors involved.
Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation charges apply as per the Travel Coffee cancellation policy. There is no refund for unused services, missed sightseeing, guest delay, no show, or leaving the trip early.
Payment Term Policy
- A booking amount holds your seat. You pay the balance before the trip, as per the plan the team shares. If the payment is not completed on time, the booking may be cancelled.
