The Gulmarg Golf Course is an 18 hole green course at roughly 2,650 metres.
Official tourism calls it the world's highest green golf course.
Here is the honest bit. Walking around the edges and photographing the fairways is a completely different thing from booking a round.
The Maharani Temple connects to Gulmarg's Dogra royal history.
It is dedicated to Shiva and Parvati, and you can spot it from several points across the meadow.
Pair it with St. Mary's Church and the Golf Course area and you have covered central Gulmarg's heritage in one easy loop.
Baba Reshi Shrine honours the Sufi saint Baba Payam-Din.

Ningle Nallah is a stream and picnic landscape outside central Gulmarg.
It works best in favourable summer conditions.

Ferozepur Nallah is a mountain stream associated with trout.
Fishing rules, licence requirements and seasonal restrictions can change, so check with local authorities or an authorised operator before your visit.
This is an optional nature excursion for a longer stay. On a one day trip, skip it without guilt.
Drung Waterfall is near Tangmarg, not in the centre of Gulmarg. This confuses more travellers than anything else on this list.
In sufficiently cold winter conditions it freezes, and that frozen version is what fills everyone's Instagram feed.

Tangmarg is the gateway town below Gulmarg.
The final uphill road to Gulmarg starts around here, and Drung is a short excursion from the same area.
