New Year in Jibhi and Tirthan 2027: Costs, Snow and Celebrations

Jibhi16 minutes read
new year in jibhi

You probably already have the picture in your head. A warm wooden stay, pine slopes outside the window, a bonfire, some music, and maybe snow falling as the clock hits midnight.

That picture is why so many people search for New Year in Jibhi every winter. Some of it holds up. Some of it needs a reality check before you pay.

Here is what most travellers get wrong. Our current group departure does not put you in a Jibhi hotel. You sleep in Tirthan Valley, and you celebrate 31 December there.

The second surprise is the night count. A five day, four night package from Delhi or Chandigarh gives you two hotel nights and two nights on the road.

Nobody controls snow or winter road access. We would rather tell you that now than on the morning of 1 January.

Quick Answer

New Year in Jibhi works well if you want mountain scenery, river views and a small celebration at your stay rather than big town nightlife.

Travel Coffee’s current group departure celebrates 31 December in Tirthan Valley, includes two accommodation nights, and adjusts sightseeing to winter road conditions. Snow is possible, but nobody can promise it.

What Is New Year Actually Like in Jibhi and Tirthan?

What Is New Year Actually Like in Jibhi and Tirthan.jpg

Is Jibhi a party destination or a peaceful mountain escape?

Jibhi is a village destination, not a nightlife hub. You get forest slopes, small rivers, wooden homes and small properties instead of clubs and a crowded mall road.

Most of the evening energy comes from the stay you pick. The valley has no single New Year festival, and not every hotel throws a party.

Our package fills that gap at the property itself. The organised part of the night, the special dinner, DJ music and bonfire, happens at the Tirthan accommodation, not at a public venue in Jibhi.

Think of it this way. The valley gives you quiet and cold mountain air. The property gives you the celebration, within its own rules.

Will Jibhi be crowded around New Year?

The villages feel calmer than Manali, but calm does not mean empty. Holiday demand around 31 December fills popular stays, sightseeing points and transport.

Narrow mountain roads slow down when many vehicles head to the same waterfall on the same afternoon. Short distances can take longer than the map suggests.

This is why your base matters. When the celebration happens where you sleep, nobody in your group needs to drive anywhere on New Year’s Eve night.

Who Should Choose a Jibhi New Year Trip?

Who Should Choose a Jibhi New Year Trip.jpg

Is it good for couples, friends and solo travellers?

Yes, if your idea of a good New Year includes scenery, easy sightseeing and a shared evening around a fire with a group.

Friends usually enjoy the group format because transport, stay and the main dinner come sorted. Couples who want calm days and one social evening also tend to fit well.

Solo travellers can join this departure. Your sharing arrangement and room price depend on the option you pick and what we confirm at booking.

Who might prefer somewhere else?

Choose somewhere else if you want a nightlife district, bar hopping or a crowd counting down in the street. Jibhi and Tirthan simply do not work that way.

This trip also suits you badly if snow is your only reason to travel. Nobody can promise snowfall on these dates, and the high Jalori side normally stays closed in winter.

Serious winter trekkers may feel limited too. The plan includes short walks where safe, not guaranteed snow treks.

Our honest verdict: book this trip if you want a relaxed mountain New Year with a small group celebration. Look elsewhere if you need a big party or guaranteed snow.

If that sounds like your kind of trip, the Jibhi and Tirthan New Year group trip page shows the current departure, joining cities and sharing options.

Are You Staying in Jibhi or Tirthan Valley?

Are You Staying in Jibhi or Tirthan Valley.jpg

Where exactly are the two hotel nights?

You stay in Tirthan Valley on 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027. These are the only two accommodation nights for Delhi and Chandigarh bookings.

The stay is a budget hotel or homestay. Ask our team for the property name and address before you pay.

The trip carries the name “Jibhi and Tirthan” because the sightseeing circuit covers both areas. The name tells you where you go during the day, not where you sleep.

Why is Jibhi included if you sleep in Tirthan?

Jibhi shows up in the plan as a daytime stop. On 31 December, the plan covers Jibhi Waterfall, Mini Thailand and Chhoie Waterfall, when access is safe and daylight allows.

On 1 January, you drive towards Shoja and the Jalori side, only as far as the road stays safe.

So you see Jibhi in daylight, and you return to Tirthan to sleep. The New Year’s Eve celebration also happens at the Tirthan stay.

At Travel Coffee, we suggest you keep this split clear before you book. It prevents the most common misunderstanding people have with package names.

What Happens on New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2026?

What Happens on New Year’s Eve, 31 December 2026.jpg

What celebration is included?

Your package includes a special New Year’s Eve dinner, DJ music and a bonfire at the Tirthan accommodation.

The property runs these within its permitted timings. Weather and local permissions also shape the evening, so bitter cold or rain can change the bonfire plan.

This is a celebration at your stay, with your group. It is not a ticketed public event or a large venue party.

Does the DJ continue until midnight?

We cannot promise that. Local rules or property restrictions may mean the music and bonfire wind down before midnight.

If the music stops early, your group can still count down together at the stay. Just do not book this trip for a late night party.

The package does not cover alcoholic drinks, extra snacks or optional celebration services. Budget separately for anything beyond the special dinner.

How Does the Five Day Jibhi New Year Itinerary Work?

How Does the Five Day Jibhi New Year Itinerary Work.jpg

The departure runs from 30 December 2026 to 3 January 2027. For Delhi and Chandigarh guests, that means two nights travelling and two nights in Tirthan Valley.

Here is how each day plays out.

30 December 2026: Departure and Overnight Journey

You leave from your confirmed Delhi or Chandigarh joining point and travel overnight towards Aut by Volvo or Tempo Traveller, whichever we confirm for your departure.

Chandigarh boarding may happen late at night or after midnight. We share exact boarding details before departure.

Here is an insider tip most guides skip: If your Chandigarh boarding falls after midnight, your boarding date technically becomes 31 December. Check the exact date and time on your confirmation so you reach the pickup on the right night.

You pay for your own meals on the journey. Our team recommends packing dry snacks and a water bottle in your day bag, so you are not stuck buying whatever the halt sells.

31 December 2026: Tirthan Arrival and New Year’s Eve

You arrive near Aut and take a shared transfer to your Tirthan accommodation. Check in follows the property’s timings, so you may wait a while for your room.

Breakfast on arrival costs extra. Stop at a suitable dhaba or café near Aut or along the Tirthan route for breakfast, depending on your arrival time and the day's road conditions.

After that, the plan covers Chhoie Waterfall, Jibhi Waterfall and Mini Thailand, as long as access is safe and daylight holds.

Winter daylight runs short in these valleys. Be ready the moment the transfer team calls, because a slow start can cost you a stop.

The evening ends with the special dinner, DJ and bonfire at your Tirthan stay. This is your first accommodation night.

1 January 2027: Shoja and Jalori Side Excursion

Your breakfast is included today. After breakfast, the group drives towards Shoja and Jalori Pass, only as far as the road is safely accessible.

Raghupur Fort or Serolsar Lake come into the plan only if roads and trails are safe. We cannot promise either one in winter.

Skip buying or renting special trekking gear just for Serolsar Lake. The winter trek carries no promise, and good shoes with grip will serve you better across the whole trip.

You return to Tirthan for the included dinner and your second accommodation night.

2 January 2027: Chehni Kothi and Return Journey

After the included breakfast, you check out. If conditions allow, the group takes a heritage walk towards Chehni Kothi and the Shringi Rishi Temple area.

Our team may shorten or replace this walk if the trail is unsafe or the day runs late. After that, you transfer towards Aut.

Here is a timing tip that changes this day: Pack your bag the night before and be first at checkout. The Chehni Kothi walk depends on how much time remains before the return journey, so every early minute counts.

Delhi and Chandigarh guests then start the overnight journey home.

3 January 2027: Return Home

You reach the confirmed Chandigarh and Delhi drop points, subject to winter roads and traffic. Manali travellers follow their own separately confirmed return arrangements.

One more time, because it matters: four package nights do not mean four hotel nights. You get two nights in Tirthan and two on the road. The full Jibhi and Tirthan New Year itinerary lists every inclusion by day.

Will There Be Snow in Jibhi on New Year’s Eve?

Will There Be Snow in Jibhi on New Year’s Eve?

Can you expect snowfall in Jibhi village?

Snow is possible, but nobody can promise it for 31 December 2026 or 1 January 2027.

Jibhi village and your Tirthan stay sit much lower than the Shoja and Jalori side. Himachal Tourism says Jalori gets heavy winter snow, while the lower villages may stay clear on the same day.

We are not giving you temperature numbers here. Published estimates vary, and no reliable forecast exists for this departure yet.

Is the trip worth taking without snow?

For the right person, yes. You still get cold, clear river water, forest slopes, crisp mornings, a group evening by the fire and waterfall stops when access allows.

What we tell our travellers every December is simple. Treat snow as a bonus, not the reason you book. If you would feel cheated by a snowless trip, wait for a better fit.

We do not promise any accessible snow point on this trip either. For broader seasonal weather details, read our guide to Jibhi in December.

What Happens If Jalori Pass Is Closed?

What Happens If Jalori Pass Is Closed?

Is Jalori Pass open around New Year?

Himachal Tourism describes Jalori Pass as getting significant winter snow and normally staying closed to traffic from December to March.

That is seasonal guidance, not a confirmed closure for 1 January 2027. Nobody can confirm the exact road status that far ahead.

Our team and driver judge safe access locally on the sightseeing day. Wherever the safe road ends, the drive ends.

A serious safety warning here. Do not hire a private vehicle to push past the point where our driver stops. Icy mountain roads in winter are not worth a photo.

What sightseeing can replace Jalori Pass?

If the upper road stays shut, the day can focus on accessible spots around Shoja, Jibhi, lower viewpoints and shorter village walks.

These alternatives also depend on safe conditions and daylight. Waterfalls, walks and Chehni Kothi all carry the same condition.

We cannot promise Serolsar Lake, Raghupur Fort, snowfall or any particular snow point. What you can count on is a team that changes the plan rather than forcing it.

A restricted road day still gives you slow village lanes, forest views and a long lunch with your group. Many people enjoy that more than a rushed pass drive.

How Much Does a Jibhi New Year Trip Really Cost?

How Much Does a Jibhi New Year Trip Really Cost.jpg

What is the current package price?

On 4 November 2026, the package page showed ₹9,999 per person in its initial selection.

Treat that as a starting reference, not a final quote for every joining city, room type or group. The page updates the price as you select options.

What is included in the package?

The package includes transport for your selected joining city, as your booking option states, plus shared local transfers and the planned sightseeing.

You get two nights in Tirthan Valley, breakfast on 1 and 2 January, the special dinner on 31 December and a regular dinner on 1 January.

It also covers the DJ and bonfire arrangements, with their conditions, along with on trip coordination, driver support, the relevant vehicle costs and applicable taxes.

A dedicated trip captain comes only when we confirm one separately for your departure.

What expenses are not included?

You pay separately for arrival breakfast on 31 December, all lunches, journey meals, drinks and extra snacks.

The package also leaves out room heating, early check in, private upgrades, optional activities, entry fees and personal shopping.

Travel insurance sits outside the package. So do extra accommodation or transport costs that weather disruptions cause, as the booking terms explain.

How do you calculate the actual total trip budget?

Start with your confirmed per person quote for your city and sharing option. Then add uncovered meals, any heating charge, upgrades and your own spending.

Finally, add your cost of reaching the joining point and getting home from the drop point. We will not guess these numbers for you.

Your extra food and personal spending will depend on your meal choices, appetite and shopping plans. Keep a separate buffer for these expenses rather than assuming they are covered by the package..

Here is a local money saving tip: Ask us for the double, triple and single quotes side by side before you choose, and pack proper thermals so you rely less on paid room heating.

Get your complete quote in writing before you pay. Only accept quotes and payment details from our official WhatsApp number, +91 7018537498. Do not send money to anyone else claiming to sell seats on this departure.

What Should You Know About Room Sharing, Heating and Solo Travel?

Are double, triple and single sharing available?

Yes. The package page shows double, triple and single sharing options.

Your price depends on the option you select and what we confirm at booking. We will not quote a single room supplement here until it is confirmed. We will confirm the single room supplement at the time of booking, based on availability and the property’s tariff.

Are heaters and hot water guaranteed?

No. You stay in a budget hotel or homestay lodging, and heating and hot water depend on that property’s facilities.

The property may charge extra for room heating Room heating charges and hot water arrangements vary by property.

Ask us to confirm the facilities, timings and any extra charges in writing before booking. Confirm the winter facilities with us before you book, not after you arrive cold.

Can someone join alone?

Yes, solo travellers can join this departure. Confirm roommate allocation, availability and your exact room price with our team before paying.

We do not promise any particular roommate matching. If this is your first time travelling with strangers, our guide to joining a group trip solo explains what to expect.

How Should You Prepare for a New Year's Trip to Jibhi?

Is Jibhi Better Than Manali for New Year 2027?

How do Delhi, Chandigarh and Manali joining options differ?

Delhi and Chandigarh bookings include overnight transport towards Aut and back. Manali bookings need separately confirmed pickup and return transfers.

Do not assume a pickup time from a friend’s old trip. Confirm your reporting point and exact boarding time with us for your departure.

Your exact reporting time and pickup point will be shared by our team before departure. Confirm these details for your selected joining city rather than relying on timings from an older trip.

What should travellers pack and confirm?

Carry thermals, a proper winter jacket, gloves and warm headwear. Bring shoes with good grip for icy patches and waterfall paths.

Add your personal medicines, some cash and a charged power bank. Cash helps with the meals and small expenses that the package does not cover.

Keep a buffer before any onward flight or train after your 3 January drop. Winter roads and festive traffic can delay arrival, and a tight connection turns a good trip stressful.

Is Jibhi Better Than Manali for New Year 2027?

Is Jibhi Better Than Manali for New Year 2027?

Neither is better for everyone. They suit different people.

Jibhi and Tirthan give you quieter village surroundings and a celebration at your stay. Your evening depends on the property, not on a busy town around you.

Manali is a much busier tourist town at New Year. You get more cafés, more people and more choice, along with more crowds and traffic.

Neither place guarantees snow or a specific nightlife event on 31 December. Pick based on the evening you actually want, not the photos you saw.

If you lean towards calm days and a small group night, Jibhi fits. If you want energy and options, Manali may suit you better. Our Manali versus Jibhi guide breaks down the difference.

Still weighing other places? You can compare New Year destinations in Himachal before you decide.

Final Verdict: Should You Book New Year in Jibhi?

Book this trip if you want a relaxed mountain New Year with a group, a special dinner, music and a bonfire, and you accept the conditions on all three.

Remember what you are buying. You stay in Tirthan Valley, not Jibhi village. You get two hotel nights and two overnight journeys from Delhi or Chandigarh.

Snow may not fall. Jalori normally stays closed in winter. Your sightseeing will bend to the roads and daylight, and our team will not force a risky stop.

If that honest version still excites you, the Jibhi and Tirthan New Year group trip is the place to check your city, sharing option and current price.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Jibhi a good destination for New Year 2027?

Yes, if you want mountain scenery and a small celebration at your stay rather than big town nightlife. Our current departure celebrates in Tirthan Valley with a special dinner, DJ and bonfire, all subject to property timings, weather and local permissions.

Is there a New Year party in Jibhi?

The valley has no single coordinated New Year festival, and not every hotel holds a party. On our group trip, the celebration happens at the Tirthan accommodation, with a special dinner, DJ music and bonfire, within the property’s permitted timings and local permissions.

Does Travel Coffee’s Jibhi package stay in Jibhi or Tirthan Valley?

You stay in a budget hotel or homestay in Tirthan Valley on 31 December 2026 and 1 January 2027. Jibhi appears as a daytime sightseeing stop. The trip name describes the circuit, not your exact sleeping location.

Will there be snowfall in Jibhi on 31 December?

Snow is possible, but nobody can promise it for 31 December 2026. Jibhi and Tirthan sit lower than the Shoja and Jalori side, so the villages may stay clear even when higher areas get snow. Treat snow as a bonus.

Is Jalori Pass open during New Year?

Himachal Tourism says Jalori Pass normally stays closed to traffic from December to March. Nobody can confirm the status for 1 January 2027 in advance. Our team checks safe access locally that day and drives only as far as the road stays safe.

How many hotel nights are included in the five-day Jibhi trip?

Delhi and Chandigarh bookings include two hotel nights, both in Tirthan Valley, on 31 December and 1 January. The other two nights are overnight journeys, one towards Aut and one back home. Manali guests follow separately confirmed arrangements.

What is included in the New Year’s Eve celebration?

You get a special New Year’s Eve dinner, DJ music and a bonfire at the Tirthan accommodation. The property runs these within its permitted timings, and weather and local permissions also apply. Drinks, extra snacks and optional celebration services cost extra.

Will the DJ and bonfire continue until midnight?

We cannot promise that. Local rules or property restrictions may mean the music and bonfire finish before midnight. If you want a guaranteed late night party, this trip will not suit you, though your group can still count down together at the stay.

What is the total cost of a Jibhi New Year group trip?

The package page showed ₹9,999 per person in its initial selection on 4 November 2026. Your final price depends on your city and sharing option. Add uncovered meals, any heating charge, personal spending and travel to your joining point.

Is Jibhi suitable for solo travellers and couples?

Yes. Solo travellers can join, subject to confirmed sharing arrangements and room pricing. Couples who enjoy calm scenery, easy sightseeing and one social evening usually fit well. Confirm your room option with our team before you pay.

Are room heaters and hot water included?

No. Heating and hot water depend on the property’s facilities, and room heating may cost extra. You stay in budget hotel or homestay lodging, so confirm winter facilities with our team before booking and pack proper thermals.

Is Jibhi or Manali better for New Year?

It depends on what you want. Jibhi and Tirthan give you quieter villages and a celebration at your stay. Manali is a much busier tourist town. Neither guarantees snow or a specific nightlife event on 31 December.
