Main Highlight
Classic Kinnaur to Spiti route with full coverage of both valleys, small group travel, trip captain, and planned itinerary on one of India's most scenic highways
Best Season
October to May
Ideal For
Solo travellers, budget travellers, friend groups, young professionals, couples, and first timers
Know Before You Go
This route enters Spiti through Kinnaur via Shimla. The Manali to Kaza road remains closed during this season due to snow at Kunzum Pass
High village sightseeing (Hikkim, Komik, Langza) is planned on a weather permitting basis. In heavy snow these roads may not be accessible and the team will adjust the day plan around Kaza
Spiti is high altitude. Kaza sits at over 3,600 metres. Stay hydrated, avoid rushing, and follow the acclimatisation guidance shared by your trip captain
Mobile network works in parts of Kinnaur (Sangla, Kalpa, Reckong Peo). In Spiti, network is extremely limited or absent. ATMs exist in Reckong Peo but can be unreliable. Carry enough cash
Several days involve long drives through mountain terrain. Travel can be slower due to road conditions, weather, and daylight. Keep a flexible mindset
Pack for cold weather. Nights in Kaza and Tabo can drop well below freezing. Thermals, heavy jacket, gloves, woollen cap, and warm socks are not optional
A minimum of 8 travellers is needed to operate each departure. If a batch does not reach minimum, we offer a free date change to the next batch or a full refund, communicated at least 10 days before travel
The group assembles at a fixed pickup point in Delhi for the Volvo departure. Individual pickups are not included

Had an absolutely incredible trip exploring Manali, Solang, Sethan, Khokhsar, Sissu, and Darcha, all the way up to Shinkula Pass and Shinkula Top, thanks to Travel Coffee! A huge shoutout to Preeti Jasyal, who helped us a lot throughout the process. She is an amazing person and went above and beyond to help us create the perfect booking. The entire service was seamless and highly effective, and the hotels she selected for us were absolutely amazing with great comfort and views. Driving through those massive mountain terrains can be daunting, but their flawless coordination made the entire journey stress-free. If you're planning a trip to Leh, Ladakh, Spiti, or any of these mountain regions, Travel Coffee is the way to go!
