Shipki La is a condition based border drive. Access depends on local permissions, security clearance, ID verification, road and weather conditions, and the approved time window. It cannot be guaranteed. If access is restricted, we cover the best possible Upper Kinnaur route around Khab, Pooh, Namgia, and Nako
All travellers must carry original government ID. Aadhaar is strongly recommended for Indian nationals. Foreign nationals may need separate permissions and may not be allowed on all border sections
Photography near military posts, security areas, and restricted zones is strictly prohibited
Nako and Upper Kinnaur are remote. Stays are clean and comfortable but these are mountain properties, not city hotels

Phone signal is patchy beyond Reckong Peo. BSNL works best. No reliable ATMs past Reckong Peo. Stock up on Day 4 when you pass through
