Shipki La is condition based. Access depends on permissions, security clearance, ID checks, and weather. If restricted, we cover the best Upper Kinnaur route around Khab, Pooh, Namgia, and Nako. Either way you still get Nako and Upper Kinnaur
Carry original government ID. Aadhaar strongly recommended. Foreign nationals may need separate permissions. Photography near military areas is strictly prohibited
