Board the overnight Volvo from Delhi. Sleep properly on the bus because tomorrow you meet your bike, your road captain, and the mountains. The expedition begins from Shimla.

Know Before You Go
This is a remote experienced rider expedition, not a relaxed tourist ride. You must have prior mountain riding experience on 350cc to 450cc bikes. A short skill confirmation is part of joining. If you are not experienced, take the backup vehicle seat
An armoured riding jacket and riding boots are mandatory and arranged by the rider. Rental is available on request. Without them, you will not ride the remote section
Travel insurance with evacuation cover is mandatory. Arrange it and share proof before departure. A riding fitness and health declaration is also required because medical help is far
Chanshal Pass, Dodra, and Kwar movement are completely weather and road dependent. On a bike, a wet or sleeting pass is more serious than in a vehicle, so the team will not push the crossing in bad weather. If the pass closes behind the group, the team holds it safely or arranges the safest return, and any genuine extra cost is shared as per the cost policy
Day 4, the Chanshal crossing into Dodra, is the hardest day. The group stays close to the pass on Day 3 so Day 4 starts with a shorter approach and more daylight for the descent. For private groups, the crossing can be split across two shorter days
The last reliable fuel is around Rohru. Reserve fuel is carried in the backup vehicle for the belt beyond, but start the remote section with a full tank. The backup vehicle may not always be right behind every bike on narrow sections, which is why the batch is small and regroup points are followed strictly
The Dodra Kwar belt stay is basic. Simple rooms, simple food, limited facilities. Best case is one night in Dodra and one in Kwar, otherwise both nights in Dodra with Kwar as a day visit
The road captain's call on riding, stopping, or shifting a rider or pillion to the backup vehicle is final. It is about safety, not skill judgement
Keep your return flexible. Do not book a tight onward connection the morning you reach Delhi. Pack light with a rucksack or duffle, not a trolley. Carry rain gear, warm layers, medicines, power bank, cash, and ID
