Main Highlight
The most complete Spiti group tour from Manali covering Kaza villages, Key, Kibber, Chicham, Dhankar, Tabo, and Chandratal with a Manali rest day
Best Season
Mid June to Mid September
Ideal For
Solo travellers, friend groups, college groups, budget adventurers, photographers, and anyone who wants Spiti properly from Delhi without 10 days off
Know Before You Go
This is a shared group departure. You travel with fellow travellers (typically 10 to 18 people) and a trip captain in a Tempo Traveller
The Manali rest day on Day 2 is not optional filler. It genuinely helps your body recover from the Volvo and prepare for the altitude ahead
Day 3 (Manali to Kaza) and Day 5 (Kaza to Tabo via Key, Kibber, Chicham, Dhankar) are the longest days. Carry snacks, water, and a light jacket in your daypack
Day 5 is the richest sightseeing day with Key, Kibber, Chicham, Dhankar, and Tabo all in one sweep. A good sleep in Kaza the night before is essential
Stays are double or triple sharing and Chandratal camp is triple sharing. If you need single occupancy, ask about the supplement
Chandratal camp is basic: sleeping tents, shared toilet facilities, and a mess tent with simple vegetarian meals. Bring a sleeping bag liner if you sleep cold
Mobile network works in parts of Kaza and Tabo (BSNL most reliable, Jio patchy) and is completely absent at Chandratal. Carry Rs 5,000 to 7,000 in cash for the full trip and inform your family before entering the no network zone
Pack warm layers including thermals, a down jacket, warm socks, and gloves. Kaza nights are 5 to 10 degrees, Tabo is slightly warmer, Chandratal drops to 0 to 5 degrees even in July
Sturdy shoes are necessary for the 1.5 km rocky walk to Chandratal Lake, monastery steps, and village trails
If you are travelling from outside Delhi, plan to reach Delhi by evening on Day 1 to board the Volvo

FAQ's

This tour is one day longer, includes a Manali rest day, and covers Tabo and Dhankar Monastery which the Short Circuit does not. The route goes Kaza to Tabo to Chandratal instead of Kaza directly to Chandratal. You see more of Spiti and the pacing is more relaxed.

We had gone to Spiti Valley with our friends through Travel Coffee, and we would like to share our review. The journey was very enjoyable. The hotels and food provided were also very good. The vehicle and the driver, Mr. Vicky, were excellent, and his nature was very friendly and helpful. Overall, Travel Coffee organized a wonderful and very well-managed tour for us. Even though oxygen problems are common in Spiti Valley, no one in our group faced any difficulty because the entire tour was very well organized by Travel Coffee. Special Thanks to Mr. Sachin & Ms. Vanshika.

Title: The Gold Standard for Winter Spiti Expeditions "Exploring Spiti Valley in the dead of winter is an extreme challenge, but Travel Coffee turned a difficult expedition into a seamless, high-end experience. A massive, special thanks to Preeti Jasyal for her incredible, continuous support. From the very first inquiry to the last day of the trip, she was there to handle all our concerns and logistical needs. Having that level of reliability both prior to and during the trip made all the difference in our peace of mind. The logistics on the ground were handled with military precision. Our Tour Captain and Driver, Amit Kumar, was exceptional. Navigating a 4x4 Jimny through heavy snow and icy mountain passes requires immense skill, and Amit’s expert driving made us feel completely safe in the harshest conditions. Despite the sub-zero (-25c) temperatures and limited resources typical of this season, Travel Coffee ensured we had top-class food and stays. A rare highlight for a winter trip was having accommodations with separate washrooms and a reliable water supply—a luxury that is almost impossible to find in Spiti this time of year. Special thanks also to Sachin Thakur and Saurabh for their flawless coordination. If you want to experience the 'Middle Land' in winter without compromising on safety or essential comforts, Travel Coffee is the only way to go. 5/5 stars!"

We had an amazing experience on our Spiti trip with Travel Coffe! Everything was well organized and we truly enjoyed every moment of the journey. A special thanks to our coordinator Ishita, who planned the trip very well and ensured everything went smoothly from start to finish. Her coordination made the whole experience stress-free and enjoyable. Our driver Ravi bayya was also excellent. He is very friendly, professional, and an experienced driver who handled the challenging mountain roads with great skill. Thanks to him, we felt safe and comfortable throughout the journey. One of the highlights of the trip was experiencing beautiful snowfall, which made our Spiti journey even more memorable. Overall, it was a wonderful trip filled with great memories. Thank you TravelCoffe, Ishita, and Ravi bayya for making our Spiti adventure so special!
