Itinerary
Your trip starts in Delhi. Board the reserved evening Volvo at the confirmed pickup point. These are AC semi-sleeper reclining seats, not flat sleeping berths, so travel light for the night and keep a jacket handy. Plan for about 10 to 12 hours, which depends on the service and the roads. The boarding point and timing come from your ticket and are shared before departure.

Your Trip in a Nutshell
- Duration
- 6 Nights / 7 Days

- Best Season
- March to June and mid-September to early December. Winter departures run on lower-altitude alternatives, and snow is not guaranteed.
- Ideal For
- Couples, families and small groups who want roomier hotels and a larger private cab in the hills
Know Before You Go
- The default Volvo endpoint is Dharamshala, not McLeodganj. A direct McLeodganj bus is only possible if the chosen service runs it, so we confirm each pickup and drop against your ticket.
- Six nights means four hotel nights plus two overnight bus journeys. The base plan includes two nights in Jibhi and a Tirthan Valley day visit, not a Tirthan hotel night.
- You can start and end at Delhi, Chandigarh or Dharamshala. The default is Delhi. A Dharamshala start skips the inbound Delhi Volvo, so it is priced about 2,000 rupees lower per person. For any non-Delhi start we confirm the exact routing and fare on enquiry, since the transport leg changes.
- On the Jalori day you choose one walk, not both. Raghupur Fort is the shorter option and Serolsar Lake is the longer one at about 10 to 11 km return. You do the trail at your own pace, so carry water and a packed lunch and keep to a sensible turnaround time to return in daylight. Your driver and vehicle wait at the pass.
- Jalori Pass, Serolsar Lake, the waterfalls and paragliding all depend on access, weather and conditions on your dates. In winter we use lower-altitude alternatives, and snow is not guaranteed. Monsoon departures need suitable road and trail conditions.
- The private cab covers the agreed Day 2 to Day 6 itinerary, not unlimited running around. On-trip coordination is included, but a separate accompanying tour manager is not.
- Your expected vehicle is matched to your group: an Ertiga for 2 to 3 adults, or an Innova or Innova Crysta for 4 to 5. Six or more guests need a separately quoted larger vehicle. We name the exact vehicle before we confirm your booking.
- Rooms are private with attached bathrooms. A balcony, a view, a riverside spot, a lift, a heater or a bathtub is included only if your quote says so, and we share the property, room type and heating details before you confirm.
- Travel-time estimates are for planning and are not live road-status promises, so please verify conditions for your actual dates. Volvo boarding points and timings come from the booked service.
- Triund needs an extra planned day and sits outside this package. There is no Kullu rafting detour or Great Himalayan National Park core trek in this plan.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is private on this tour, and what is shared?
Your cab in Himachal is private to your group, from the Day 2 Dharamshala pickup to the Day 6 Aut drop. The two overnight journeys between Delhi and the hills are on a shared AC semi-sleeper Volvo, so you travel those legs with other passengers.
Why do six nights mean only four hotel nights?
Two of the six nights are spent on the overnight Volvo, one on the way up and one on the way back. That leaves four nights in hotels: one in McLeodganj or Bhagsu, one in Bir and two in Jibhi.
Which hotels and cab will I get on the Premium tour?
Premium stays are high-end 3-star or entry-level 4-star hotels and cottages, with private rooms and attached bathrooms. Your expected cab is matched to your group: an Ertiga for 2 to 3 adults, or an Innova or Innova Crysta for 4 to 5. We confirm the exact property and vehicle before you travel.
Who is the starting price for?
The starting price is per person for four adults travelling together and sharing two double rooms. It is not a per-couple price.
What will it cost for a couple?
Two adults sharing one room work out to a higher per-person rate than the four-adult price, because the fixed costs are split between fewer people. Tell us your dates and we will send a couple-specific quote.
Which meals are included, and which are not?
You get four breakfasts and four dinners, one of each on your four hotel nights. Breakfast on arrival day, all lunches, meals on the bus and any cafe or snack bills are not included.
Is paragliding included?
No. Paragliding at Bir is optional and quoted separately, which covers the Billing transfer, the flight and any operator fees. We plan it around the weather, permissions and operator slots, and it may replace some local exploring that afternoon.
What are the walking options on the Jalori day?
You pick one walk, not both. Raghupur Fort is the shorter option, about 3 km one way to open ridges. Serolsar Lake is the longer one, about 10 to 11 km return over 5 to 6 hours, so it is a full mountain walk. You do the trail at your own pace, and if you prefer something easy the whole group can swap to a gentler Shoja or Jibhi outing.
What happens in winter if the pass is closed?
When Jalori and the higher roads are closed, we switch to accessible Jibhi and Banjar village walks, a waterfall and cafe time, and go up towards Shoja only as far as the road allows. Snow is not guaranteed on any date.
Will the hotels suit children or older travellers?
Rooms are private with attached bathrooms, but hill properties vary in stairs, lifts and heating. Tell us who is travelling and we will share the access and heating details for each stay before you confirm.
Do we stay a night in Tirthan Valley?
No. Tirthan is a day visit on Day 6, with a village and riverside walk, before the drive to Aut. The two valley nights are in Jibhi.
Can we get early check-in on arrival day?
Early room access on Day 2 depends on availability and is not guaranteed. Luggage storage and a place to freshen up depend on the hotel, and breakfast on arrival day is at your own cost.
Can I start from Chandigarh or Dharamshala instead of Delhi?
Yes. You can start and end at Delhi, Chandigarh or Dharamshala, and Delhi is the default. A Dharamshala start skips the inbound Delhi Volvo, so it is priced about 2,000 rupees lower per person. For any other non-Delhi start we confirm the exact routing and the fare on enquiry, since the transport leg changes.
Is there a shorter or land-only version?
Yes, on a separate quote. We can price a 5-day, 4-night Dharamshala to Aut land-only version, or add an extra McLeodganj night. These are customisations, not part of the base price.
What should I pack?
Warm layers and a windproof jacket, comfortable walking or trekking shoes, a refillable water bottle, a small daypack, any personal medicines and a power bank, since the network can be patchy around Jalori and the villages.
How is the booking confirmed?
We confirm against an advance payment and share your hotel, room and vehicle details before travel. Volvo boarding points and timings come from the booked service and are shared closer to departure.
