Best Season
May, June, September, and October
Ideal For
Solo travellers, couples, friends, creators, soft adventure lovers, and repeat Himachal travellers who want something beyond Shimla and Manali
Know Before You Go
This is an offbeat mountain road trip, not a luxury resort holiday. Expect long drives, simple stays, and mountain roads. That is the charm
Chanshal Pass is weather and road dependent. It can close due to snow, rain, road damage, low visibility, or local restrictions. If it is closed, the team covers the best possible Pabbar Valley sightseeing around Rohru, Hatkoti, Chirgaon, and Larot side. Your weekend stays full either way
Two of the five days are overnight Volvo journeys that run while you sleep. On a regular week you only take Friday off. On selected long weekends you may not need any leave at all
The Kuppar Bugyal hike is easy to moderate and optional. You need basic fitness, comfortable shoes, and enough daylight. If you do not want to hike, relax around Giri Ganga Temple and the forest area
Breakfast and dinner are included on stay nights. Volvo meals, road transfer meals, and lunches are on you
Network can be weak after Rohru and towards Chanshal. Inform your family before entering the remote belt
Carry warm layers even outside winter because weather changes quickly in upper Shimla and the Chanshal side
Carry valid government ID. Avoid heavy luggage. A backpack or small trolley works better for group trips
The final itinerary may be adjusted on ground for safety, daylight, weather, and road conditions
